No it's not. It's because your hitting the Messages button, it has nothing to do with a swipe. All buttons are pressed hwen you release your finger. Start on the button and swipe across and release after your finger is off the button, does it work now? No.

Ass.

It does work, it's just not a particularly exciting feature. Also, I think the OP said 'ACTUAL' because most of the features that are touted as being hidden around here are ACTUALLY not.

Seeing as I just got the phone 10 days ago, yes, I am still learning new things. Sorry i'm not an Apple employee and don't know everything about the iPhone. I thought that's why I come to the iPhone forums on MacRumors. Unlike you, I come here for constructive posts and enjoyable conversation. Not to troll, like yourself. If you dont have anything credible or constructive to say, why are you here?

Lol RELAX! I love the way people get so serious on the Internet lol. :p

your getting all heated up for no reason while I'm enjoying my day lol

This isn't ACTUALLY isn't one either. It was around in 2.0. But obviously it's a big deal to a lot of people...

My day is just fine. Trust me, you're not important enough to make a difference in my outlook on life.

I just dislike when people come into a thread to insult the OP for no reason at all. If you disagree fine, but you don't need to be rude.

i just tried it, it's definitely not pressing the messages button that does it, thanks for bringing it to our attention :)

In Messages.app:

While you're in a conversation, swipe to the left on the person's name in the navigation bar.

It will bring you back to the list view

I discovered something like this in Music/iPod back with the first gen iPod touch. You can move from the track-list view back to albums just by quickly swiping left to right.

The iPod now playing screen swipe right to go back has been in the firmware ever sence iPhone 1.0. I known it ever sence I got my iPhone on launch day.
