iPad mini I get the feeling there won't be a new iPad mini this year.

And ipad mini has good sales.

Do a Google search. The rMini did ok but sales were much less than the Air (and percentage sales were even less than the original mini). Now factor in the iPhone 6+ and percentage sales on a new rMini should end up less than the original rMini.

they should update with touch ID at the very least so all ios devices they sell have it. I know I know 5C still out there. but its also only A6 device assuming they get rid of old ipads tomorrow.

but I could see it having same iphone 6 internals and maybe no NFC. if they use ipads as POS terminals for apple pay it maybe exclusive to the air since its easier to use with touch targets.

Well... that was a bit of a mix. While the iPad mini was updated, they literally only added Touch ID and a gold colour option. That's it.

It still uses the A7 (as I predicted the 2014-15 model would), but surprisingly also still uses the same screen with poor colour gamut.

So yes, mock me if you want to, but know that internally it's practically identical to the iPad mini 2.
