Trail versions are up the the company, they are not required to give out trials.

Of course they aren't required. no one said they were. they aren't even required to release new versions of FCP.

What we were saying is that alot of the current refund madness could have been avoided by a trial.

Personally I didn't even jump on FCP X, hell, I'm using studio 2 cause it does what I need. And I dislike the move to the App Store and lack of trials.

I read my first review within 30 minutes of it being released with a long list of missing features.

If I depended on an application "to make a living" you would be sure I would do as much research and read everything about the application. But thats just me

You are so naive in this industry it's not even funny. AGAIN, I have to TRAIN people in this software...so I had to see what it DID have as SOON as possible. After realizing that it was NOT fit for professional consumption, I deemed it unusable in a professional workflow for my clients and my students. I couldn't rely on reviews, but had to judge for myself what the software had to offer.

Thats what I do. I never spend my hard earned cash without reading many reviews. Often comparing products. I just don't have the money for a $300.00 impulse buy.

Some of us make $300 in a few hours doing what we have trained ourselves and love to do at a professional level...so even though it's not EXACTLY "hard earned" cash for us, we do expect a decent product for what we pay for.
