Most of my extended family uses cases on their (non-Ultra) Apple Watches, and I just don't get it. If you're worried about scratches and scuffs, get a stainless steel (silver) or S7 nTi, any of which can be easily buffed out to a perfect mirror finish, even when scratched. I've never in my life seen people cover up 'regular' watches with cases; and many of them cost far more than any Apple Watch. Wear your watch, enjoy it, and replace it in a few years when it's either too slow or (more likely) the battery health is terrible.
