Considering Walmarts business practices toward vendors I'm amazed Apple even sells to them... But Apple could probably buy a majority share in the company with cash left over if they wanted.

so why is it that the only 24 hours Walmart in California are all in one small town area of rural farms in Fresno, CA

http://www.walmart.com/storeLocator...e_line_address=California&sfatt=OPEN_24_HOURS

Why not in big cities in California like Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and etc... oh well.

One in Santa Ana and orange are 24 hour :) no clue on models though.

Take a picture of the screen

I will take a pic but I'm not sure how it will look on your device. You just have to see with the naked eye.

Taking it with iP4 also.

The thought of walmart carrying the ipad is funny.

On one side you have apple, while on the other is cheap and nasty. With its own website devoted to the weirdos who couldn't care less about toxins in the cheap crap they eat let alone value quality.

Walmart store locator - bad search

Not true, I think searching "California" gonks the search. I plugged in Sacramento because I know there's one in West Sac... turns out there are nine within a 50 mile radius:

You're judging all Wal-Mart customers as "cheap". I personally shop at Wal-Mart frequently and I'll let you know that not everyone is like that. In the south at least, there are some "upscale" Wal-Mart's that are a tad better :).

It's pretty simple as to why Apple deals with Wal-Mart : Apple just needs distribution points where they've yet to build a store, and Wal-Mart provides that.

I pre-ordered mine anyway, but your comment sounded vaguely childish & rude.

I called a couple of Walmarts and was told twice that walmart never sells Verizon versions in store, only on their website.

At least shop at a Super Target, where the folks are normal. :D

I meant it more in terms of the premise of walmart, dirt cheap and shoddy crap, versus spare no expense apple - they're diametrically opposite companies.

Somebody thinks they are too good to shop at Wal Mart?!?

Just picked mine up. Walmart employee goes all we have is IPad 4's smh. I had to kindly tell them no they are mistaking and they thought all the wifi models were iPad 2's turned a lot of people away asking for wifi edition I asked to look at the box. Sure enough it was the new iPad. RETINA will blow you away pics don't do justice!

I wouldn't piss on a Walmart, let alone shop there. They have destroyed manufacturing in America and they pay their employees pathetic wages, while providing them with squat in benefits.
