Heh - I wasn't going to suggest that. Wouldn't want to take advantage of her. She may be able to make some good $ reselling it. :)

I would be happy to allow from her to make a profit :)

Me, here is not when I will get one and have an important gift deadline coming up!

many people will probably be pre ordering the apple watch 2 by the time they get their first

I'm sorry some people overreacted to your OP, but I am a little confused why you feel so bad. Apple will allow you to return it within two weeks with no problem. Also, you could sell it (as others have suggested) and maybe even pocket a few dollars.

Really, don't feel too bad. You might discover you like how it looks (or you'll get accustomed to it). But for the vast majority of us, we bought ours sight unseen just as you did. I am curious, what part of the world are you in and is the closest Apple Store more than an hour's drive for you?

EDIT: I see you're speaking of the band. Isn't there a marketplace forum? Someone might be willing to swap with you.

No, I am not referring to the case size. I should never have posted my concern. I don't fit in here either.

Then why post? You knew you would get flack for it. If you've been here for 2 years like your join date implies surely this is not your first rodeo on MR during a launch.

its a free country. I say you return it OP. More power to you.

By the way, how old are you? don't mean it as an insulting question, just doing some demographic research regarding the apple watch.

This isn't my first time through a launch, but people on here are getting worse and worse. Just wanted to express a concern like so many others. But apparently it isn't okay.

OP - Not that it matters, but in another post you put -

"I kept checking the app until it was open and quickly placed my order. I have the 4/24-5/4 range. I did not set an alarm, I just took a chance. On another thread, about the Apple execs contacting a poster, someone suggested that Apple take all the preorders in the first slot and stock the stores with them. I haven't always gotten in the first group and never thought bad of those that did, except maybe for the ones who order just to sell to make money."

but then you said in this thread that you set an alarm. It really doesn't matter, but if you wonder why you are greeted with animosity, its because this thread is "troll" like.

Regardless, its a free country, and apple has a generous return policy. If the watch is not for you, its not for you.

Best of Luck

I can't be any more insulted than I already feel. If it makes you feel happy and superior, I am 48.

I have been worrying as to whether the watch I ordered will fit or not. I don't live near a store convient enough to go to and try one on. I am worrying more and more that it won't and I will be so disappointed. It is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. I have so been looking forward to getting it. I feel like crying right now.:(

Buy a different band??????

You are trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill and you don't even know if the size is wrong yet. Bands are interchangeable. It ain't the end of the world. But if you are going to throw out a post witha "begging for attention" title lamenting something you don't even know to be true then expect that some people are going to call you out for it.

I had set my alarm, but couldn't sleep and just kept trying. I regret this post now, because of the way I have been treated. I refuse to stoop as low as some of you. I expressed a concern, and for that I get a ton of ridicule. I hope all of you that feel so righteous in telling me off treat the other people in your lives better than you have me. If not, I feel sorry for them.

Here is the deal you are making a big deal out of a very small thing. Swapping the band size shouldn't be a big deal and could probably be done via online chat or a phone call once you get the watch and verify that the band size you got does not fit.

Unfortunately because there are a lot of people here that are really upset and whiney about the fact that they woke up early but are not getting their watch tomorrow they have decided to take it out on you because your issue is so minor.

You're getting this reaction because you created an entire thread saying you felt like crying because something you haven't even received yet may not fit. I won't get into the psychology here, but at the very least this is more appropriate for your personal blog or Facebook.

Well, I am done with the day. Thanks for the dose of unkind thoughts and words. But I will leave wishing you all the best and that you get your orders soon and your wonderful, perfect lives will go on.

Hey I'm 48, too. I just did a try-on yesterday. I got to try the sport bands and the Classic Buckle for the 38 mm SS and the brown modern buckle. My wrist size is 148 mm. The bands I tried on all fit my small wrist. 38 mm watches fit me. Sport watch was the most comfortable because it was light.

Were you concerned your band might be too small or too large? They do promise us the ability to swap bands and I think that is done online. You can call and ask about that. Good luck, try not to let all of the comments get you down. I got flamed on here a couple of times myself but most people here have been very interesting and helpful. Since you're apparently a longer term member than I am you probably know how it goes better than I do.

Looking at OP's other comments, OP has a large (240mm) wrist and ordered the 38 Milanese. OP's rightfully worried that it won't fit, and options for big wrists on the 38 are limited.

OP should have just said that, though, because a lot of us had to order sight unseen and were worried about the fit - me included, with that same model. Without that info, this just looks like trolling. With it, we could have been more sympathetic and helpful.

Ok. Teach, breathe. You do bear some responsibility here, because throughout this whole thread you have not stated why you are worried.

I see someone else took the time to check your post history and determine that you have a large wrist measurement (240mm) and ordered the 38mm Milanese loop. It's probable that this one won't fit, but you may be able to exchange it for the 42mm Milanese, which might work for you.

I do believe Apple will soon consider releasing longer bands as well, and the third party band selection is another option. So don't lose hope.

And next time, try to be more concise in what you are trying to communicate, and just ignore the people who don't respond well.

Nobody "had to " order anything. You chose to. You could have waited until they had stock in stores to try on. Or you could have actually read the sizing guide. I did. I ordered sport 42 because it looked like the Milanese was touch and go for me. My wrist was very close to 210. Last week I stopped by an Apple store and tried on a sport. The band JUST fit. Not tight but was in the last hole.

So if the OP wants us to feel sorry for him/her because they ordered something wothout doing any research, sorry. Can't help you. The info was available long before the preorder went live.

Okay, I thought I was done for the night, but want to set a few things and people straight. I did research and looked at the size chart and talked to an Apple rep on the phone, who told me that the bands are actually longer. And I didn't mention my wrist size, because I already took a lot of crap from people about that. I am done now, because I am tired and insulted. Thank you all.#

Oh yeah, the Milanese is a tricky band for those of us on either extreme of the size range. I lost interest when I saw it in person because it looked too wide and too long for my wrist.

Teach 4, I hope you come back and let us know how it worked out for you. Some of us do feel bad for your situation and wish you well.

I don't think I will be back. I have a lot I am dealing with right now and just wanted the watch to work. Tuesday, I found out I might have cancer. Good night and good luck everyone.
