I wear my S0 every other night and my S3 the rest of the time. I really like nightstand mode so having one on charge and the other on my wrist overnight works for me. When I'm away, I charge my S3 while I shower and/or while I'm sitting reading or something so I can still use it for sleep tracking. If I'm charging it away from home, I'm likely to have my phone on charge as well so I'd need the extra cable even if there were a puck that took a lightning cable.

What are y'all doing that you need to charge the watch throughout the day?

We charge ours at night, every night, and easily get a full day of battery out of our S0's.

I've had mine on for 4 hours now, including a 40 minute workout and I'm at 84%.
Mostly tracking exercise out drains my Watch. I track my morning and evening workouts on the Watch. Tracking mode drains the watches battery fairly quickly, especially if you forget the click the "end workout" button so stop the tracking.

That happened to me twice last week where I forgot to stop the exercise tracking after my morning exercise. I arrived at the gym for my evening workout and discovered my battery was at or below 10% and it shut itself off.

I purchased a portable battery and watch cable to keep in my gym bag for the next time this happens. I'm hoping that the watch will charge quickly enough to no delay me too much.

Something else that would be helpful would be a low battery alarm that goes off when the battery drops to 20% or 30% . That way you can recharge your watch before it becomes a problem.

Well I’m happy to tell you that the new watch will solve your problem once and for all with these two solutions

1. Apple Watch battery right now is great. Working in the gym? From full day usage (12 hours) including 1 hours+ running in the gym my S3 LTE, which doesn’t use LTE, has more than 70% battery life left.
2. WatchOS 5 will tell you to stop the activities if you ever forget it.

As others mentioned I use this one when I travel. It’s actually quite perfect and affordable. The only thing is that it charges the watch twice and then it’s dead, but that’s a trade off of the compact size. As others said though you can always charge it while it chrges the watch, having a very compact charging solution overall.

I have one of those at home and it seems the battery is always dead. It might hold a charge for a day or two, but even turned off there is still a drain on the battery.

You need to have that checked out. I had one that sat in the drawer for well over a month, and still had the 4 little lights light up when I checked it.

I bought one of these Anker battery packs to charge up my Android phones and as you can see, it also can charge up my Apple watch that ran out of battery power and shut down.

I used this battery pack to charge up my Note 9 and S9+ today and as you can see, 3 out of 4 lights are still lit up so it has tons of power to charge many times. It's the 20,000 model that's $49 at BestBuy. I bought two.

Shame you can't just put the watch on top of your iPhone and it draws power from it. Personally really dislike the Apple Watch puck. It's awkward.

I would love a nighttime charging band. Leave the band on a charging station during the day while you are out using your watch. When you go to bed, switch to the charged band and wear all night. Switch again in the morning.

Soon.

Apple’s patent work on that exact scenario has been going on since at least 2013, I think we’ll see Apple devices charging each other by 2020ish.

I know this is a super old thread, but as anyone ever found a charge puck that has lightning female port to plug in regular light Ing charge cables

Basically something like this pic attached but not that one since the reviews basically says it dies in a couple of months

There are different ideas and opinions on chargers, but I have always used only Apple chargers on my iPhones, watches and MacBooks. While there are some other makes of quality chargers, I like to play it safe. But my disclaimer here is.....this is only MY opinion. :)

My Apple Watch 7 can no longer fast charge and Apple is denying it. There needs to be a Class Action Lawsuit on this.
