This thing is such a pain to use. I keep getting this fogged blue screen that appears over my windows, or it keeps jumping windows around on me for no reason. I finally get everything closed then I can't click on anything and have to manually shut it down. I'm using the apple default mighty mouse and keyboard. Anyone else have this problem. 2009 2.26 nehalem. I'm this close to sending it back.

That's called Expose, and it is a useful feature. Activate/deactivate by pressing F3.

Are you using Spaces?

Wow, you'd send a computer back over a feature of software you don't understand? I don't even know what to say.

You're probably hitting the side buttons of the Mighty Mouse. They're set to do Exposé by default, so go to System Preferences, Mouse, and turn the fourth button off.

You're probably clicking the button for expose on the Mighty Mouse.

Its jot just me hitting 4 button on the mouse. I was sitting here on my laptop and I heard the pro start beeping at me like I was clicking again. I'm guessing its the mighty mouse. I tried keeping my hand off the side buttons and it was still doing it too.

You should get a decent mouse.

Or better yet, get a third party mouse. You'll get a real 2nd button (as opposed to a 2nd button "touch zone") and a scroll wheel that doesn't gum up and start acting goofy like the Mighty Mouse's ball does. I love my Logitech MX400 laser mouse. IMHO, Apple hasn't made a decent mouse in years.

I'LL TAKE IT!!!!!!!!
:p

me too :p

and yah, it also happens to me all the time, just deactivate the side buttons and if you're still hearing a clicking noise, then your mouse is crazy just like my old one in the garbage, i actually use a wireless Microsoft mouse, much better & less headache.

Keyboard and mouse plugged into the computer or a hub in a standalone box or the display?

microsoft making something better?:eek::eek::eek::eek:
haha

Is there a person out there who actually likes the Mighty Mouse?

I think there's something there for everyone to hate.

For me, it's the trackball. Once a week I have to flip the thing over and run it back and forth on my pants to try and get it ungunked. I think I'd be happy with the mighty mouse if you could use the top like a touch pad and they ditched the ball. I have no problem with the "hidden" left click, and I kind of like the squeezy buttons.

yea, but i like 360* scrolling. good for garage band, bad css, etc.

The touch pad would be cool as long as it was invisible. :D

and i think you mean right click.;)
