This was mentioned 10x, but turn off the Expose side mouse button option. The side button on my old Mighty Mouse regularly cycled on/off for no reason. It would cycle rapidly like some cellphone static goes in and out then some days it would be fine.

The scroll ball always goes out too, but if you clean it then it comes back. Turn it upside down and rub a damp then dry cloth on the ball back and forth. Wha la. It works.

For fun and because the Mighty Mouse fails often, I turned it back into a one button mouse. Now we know why Apple stuck with 1-button for so long. And actually, even though I came from the Windows world, it's a nice change of pace to use a 1-button mouse.

The Mighty Mouse is a pathetic mouse. Very bad ergonomics. If you disagree with me here you're doing it because you're a fanboy not because you're being logical. Believe me, I was once like you.

Get a better mouse. I recommend the Logitech MX revolution.

You upgrade everything else on in the MacPro (ram and hard drives) so why not upgrade to a better featured and usable mouse?

I'll end with this, if all you do on your MacPro is click songs in iTunes and pick what email you want to read in Mail. You will probably be happy with the MacPro. If you are using heavy any Design applications or Final Cut you better get yourself a new mouse.

I hope you get a new mouse, the one that was shipped with my MacPro is still in its original plastic wrap in the box. =)

The little scroller is ok but I don't get into using the second button. Not even for gaming. Just don't like the usage… Probably would prefer a real second button. But I'm so used to using the Applekey I don't really mind at this time, but yeah, agreed it was a reasonably bad ergonomic decision in the end.

Is there a person out there who actually likes the Mighty Mouse?

This thing is such a pain to use. I keep getting this fogged blue screen that appears over my windows, or it keeps jumping windows around on me for no reason. I finally get everything closed then I can't click on anything and have to manually shut it down. I'm using the apple default mighty mouse and keyboard. Anyone else have this problem. 2009 2.26 nehalem. I'm this close to sending it back.

You best be trollin' boy, there's no way anyone is that stupid.
