I hate to say I told you so, because I didn’t, but I just saw this thread about 8 buyers wondering if they might should have got the X:

Based on this one thread on Mac Rumors, I can now definitively declare the iPhone 8 a miserable failure and the iPhone X a great victory for the ages. iPhone 8 owners must now carry the unbearable shame of their lack of foresight, while us X owners will form a new elite to rule the world. Thx

Do you really care what someone else bought?

Be happy with your phone, whatever it may be and worry about the person using your phone...um that would be you!

On a serious note...
The 8 or 8 plus isn't a bad phone at all, what's so bad about it? It's got extremely good specs under the hood, and just because it's got similar looks to the 7 serious doesn't mean someone out there really cares at all. I entertained getting an 8plus, for the simple reason of it having a form factor I had gotten very used to and liked, had some serious horsepower under the hood, a great camera, a screen that is still considered by many to be great in just about any lighting conditions, and battery life that really can't be matched by many phones out there...So I really don't see the need to try and piss on people who saw it that way and went with an 8 series over the X.

I have an X, and while I'm enjoying it, I do miss various things about the plus. With that said I'll be upping it again and getting an X plus when they release next year. Is that to say the regular X will be trash? Or that I will call people who buy one foolish when they could have gotten an X plus?

Rule of thumb...don't assume what people have to spend on certain items, and don't talk down to someome that went with something that you disagree on...you don't know their reasons, and it breeds negativity...just my 2 cents.

I didn't get a 7+, nor an 8+ nor an X. I have a 6s+ because of cirumstance. Otherwise, I'd still be on my iPhone 5.

So…what does that make me?

And don't say regretful for not getting the X. I didn't get it because I didn't want it. Or the other phones.

So this thread will continue on while it bashes the 8 but the other one that bashed the X got closed?

This forum is good this. Not even people with varying iPhones, people who decide to go with android get bombarded with hate here, it’s sickening .

Buy what you want with YOUR own money and don’t look down in sometime because their opinon differs from yours. It’s a hunk of metal and glass at the end of the day.

as far as these types of threads go, i think i prefer the posts where people are bashing the X.. instead of the opposite ones where people with an X are bashing everyone else.

I love my 8, but I'm replacing it with the X in a few weeks. But the 8 is a wonderful phone.
