Actually, the reality is the iPhone 8 will be the successor in the long run of how well it sells because of the affordability. In The real world, no one cares about the differences between the iPhone X and iPhone 8. Consumers are going to purchase what they can afford and what they can upgrade to from an older device. And for the iPhone 8, it's a huge upgrade from any of those under an iPhone 7.

Since buying the iPhone 8 Plus, I’ve gradually come to the realisation that I made a terrible mistake. At first, the shame was internal. But now I know people are laughing at me. Sneering when I pull my phone out of my pocket. Whispering to each other. Now I can’t leave the house - yesterday I couldn’t even face getting out of bed. What a fool I’ve been and now i’ll have to live with my irreversible decision for another two years.

Or not.
