That's the thing that I've experienced with Apple products personally -- whenever you come in store with a certain color or product or model or capacity in mind, but walk out with something else due to impulse (...) begin to have regret.

+1. Happened that way with my iPad, wanted the white one, ended up getting the black because white was out of stock, I still used it for 8 months, but regretted not having held out for the white one pretty much every day. Same with the 3G back in the day.
Happened with iPhone 4s too, really only considered the white, ran around until I found a white one, loved the product all through my time with it. iPhone 5 - thought the white is significantly less appealing, had to have the black, held out until the black version in my preferred capacity was available, never regretted it. It really is worth waiting for your ideal color / capacity to become available before committing, or you're gonna be stuck with a niggling feeling of regret you can't quite shake (if you're anything like me, that is.)

For the first time ever the black iPhone is the better looking one. I always used to get white iPhones but chose to get the black.one this time. That black slate design is beautiful.

I agree with this. The black iPhone 5 is clearly more beautiful than the white one.
