LOL! Did you read the post I was responding too? Um no, you didn't. In that post he was simply claiming to have forgotten his Apple ID, not that the phone was activation locked.

I agree his edits are suspicious. Nonetheless, if your iPhone is not activation locked and you forgot your Apple ID, you can create a new one to get the phone activated to use and then work with Apple to see if they can help you remember your old Apple ID. Nothing wrong with what I suggested he do.

Geesh, who died and anointed you the iPhone Chief of Police, lol!

Give it up. You're making a fool of yourself obviously trying to help a thief.

The only time a user is shown an email/password prompt when activating an iPhone is when activation lock is enabled.

after admitting to lying.
I don't see where he admitted to lying. I see where others are accusing him of lying.

To me what is clear is that English isn't his first language and he is likely using a translator to post and read here. Do his edits look suspicious? Yes, but regardless of whether or not he is lying, nothing I have posted to him would help him to activate an iCloud locked phone.

In any case, what I said remains true.
And what I said remains true as a response to his unedited first post, which was the post I clearly was responding to.

It's not possible to get around activation lock by using a different Apple ID. What he described is exactly activation lock.
What he described in his EDITED post is an activation lock. The first unedited post that YOU told me he posted did not describe an activation lock. Go back and read it.

That's what he said in his EDITED post, not in his FIRST UNEDITED post, which is what I was responding to. Go back and read it.

LOL! Clearly I upset you by posting how tech unsavvy the average iPhone user is. Your responses to me are transparent.

I'm fairly sure there is an option to enter an Apple ID when setting up a new phone. Perhaps the OP is just setting up his new phone but forgot his details. In that case, the OP can create a new Apple ID or go to the website to recover his information.

You are the one not getting it though lol

Get what? The OP changed from "I forgot my password and my registered email" to "I do not have the password from the previous owner." You and others can try to give the OP the benefit of the doubt, but usually when the OP quickly modifies the facts in the post it's a strong indication of a member dealing with a stolen iPhone (really no different from the flurry of threads we've been getting trying to override the activation lock in stolen iPhones).

Do I understand you correctly?

1) You bought a used iPhone that still has the other person's account attached to it.

2) You want to know how to bypass that, so that you can use the phone without having to be asked for the password all the time?

If my understanding of your request is accurate, you will need to look elsewhere as Macrumors does not approve of or support such requests.

Yep, that's what he meant. Who forgets their email?
