I just had something strange happen - I was in an app, clicked the home button once to exit, but it brought up the multitasking bar then instantly went to the home screen.

It was almost like it was confused like "was that one click? or two? I'm pretty sure it was two... *opens multitasking* No, it was definitely one *home screen*" :D

No, it just did a triple click.

There never was a "home button problem" just like there never was a "4.3.1 drains my battery faster problem" it all comes down to the user and his/her mental state.

It's all psychological.

I will agree with you about battery drainage issues, but not the home button. Mines is very temperamental. Sometimes when I double click to open multitasking, it won't register or it will think it was a single click. Then sometimes when I single click it opens multitasking. I know that has nothing to do with my mental state.

Being as thats my only problem, I haven't cared to take it in.

Yes! I have the same issue. It's a bit frustrating especially when you're trying to get to the last app you were using. I'd really like it if Apple figured out a faster way of doing that.

Otherwise I have been going back to the home screen and rapidly swiping back to the last app I use. Sometimes forgetting what I was actually doing previously...hah.

seriously? jesus. it is a mechanical part. a button. it is prone to failure. these things are intermittent too. the software update did nothing, your button is intermittently not registering presses. get to a genius bar, they will replace your phone.

to the other guy: they arent supposed to get mushy, you probably have a load of dirt under there.
