True, but there is the home button on the iPad too. One could use that to return to home screen instead of software based gestures if they wanted. It's just an alternative choice. I do think the user should have this choice regarding brightness on the iPhone too.

The iPad also has a brightness slider in the tray...

I was hoping someone could help me out. One of my pet peeves, and the primary reason I jailbreak, is for SBsettings. Specifically, brightness adjustment. On my iPad, I can adjust the brightness and volume by sliding to the left in the task bar. When I slide to the left twice on my iPhone I get a volume bar, which I think is 100% pointless. I mean the volume buttons are on the side of the phone, wtf?

Anyway, could someone kindly tell me if there's an option to choose what that slider does, or if it adjusts brightness instead of volume? I really hope it does.

(What better place to put an Apple version of SBsettings?)

Thanks so much!

Justin

In beta 3, the slider is still for volume.
Many people were hoping for some sort of widgets in Notification Centre for this kind of thing. But we didn't get that :(

The volume slider in the tray is for media volume, along with AirPlay,Bluetooth icon when a connection is present. The physical buttons are for ringer/alert volume by default (but will control media volume when music/video is playing).

I too though would love quick access to a brightness adjustment. But I'm sure apple sees it as one of those options users don't need to play with often.

i dont know where to put this question so i'll put it here:

are the folders still limitated with the number of apps in it? :)
