your buddy isn't thewitt by chance? I know I'm not worried. I see the cat and mouse game between Apple and Jailbreaking community continuing just the way it is. Personally I'm more worried about Jailbreak Devs getting sick of all the BS then I am Apple.

Denial is not a river in Egypt... But it clearly runs deep here.

You are so close to the facts those who have a JB iPhone (I do) should take this eventuality seriously. It fits Apples M.O. perfectly.

If something like this ranks as 'serious' in someone's life, they're still living in their mom's basement.

The river of denial runs deep around here.

Your random sentence generator needs adjusting. The 'relevance' valve was clearly closed when you told it to generate a shallow phrase that appears wise.

I heard Facebook will be charging...?

The unfortunate part about asking a question here is that it seems people, like the above posters, come up with sarcastic remarks when all I wanted to know is if what I heard was true. My friend and I are the same person? Huh? That didn't even make sense! This is why a lot of people don't join these kinds of forums. People have to jump on here and sarcastically down talk someone with a real question. Sooooo RUDE i tell ya!

You are right that sarcastic remarks are frequent here. First, consider the possibility that, in many cases, the reason for at least some of those responses is because the answer to the OP's question is so self evident that a serious response is redundant. I have, on more occasions than I wish to admit, suffered the death of a thousand cuts. When I re-read my OP, I realized that sarcasm was deserved. I learned, over time, to carefully consider my question or comment before opening a thread.

Finally, I suggest to anyone who wants to post on this forum that they develop a thick skin, because you will get cut at times. That said, I still enjoy participating on this site because I've learned a lot of stuff, had some laughs, and learned to take the sarcasm. :D

Shrink,
So reading this last post here that you wrote I take it that I was deserving of sarcasm because "the answer was so self evident" and that "I need to develop a thick skin?" I guess my topic wasn't "up to snuff" huh?
I read through some of your comments in some of the other topics you have posted in. I must say your sarcasm is growing stronger  Why don't you try being nice to people? It goes a long way.

EDIT: And like the guy above me said. Jailbreaking is legal and is registered and protected by the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act). If Apple does try to ever do this, they can expect legal trouble that could affect them badly, as lawyers cannot do anything about it.

The DMCA ruling merely means that Apple can't use the DMCopyrightA to sue jailbreakers. Nothing in it prevents Apple preventing access to their services (iTunes, iCloud). While they could be sued, I don't think they'd lose on that.

But the wiping your purchased music bit? They wouldn't do that unless a fraud (credit card type) issue came up, and that'd be more along the lines of simply locking the iTunes account.

Lol funniest thing I've heard in awhile. Thanks!

Ah yes, you certainly took the post you quoted in the spirit in which it was given.

Oh, and thanks so much for the advice about being nice to people. I'll certainly give it a try, but I'm such a mean and sarcastic person...:p

Funny that a bunch of you think it is silly. But it is not out of the realm of possibility. Take a look at Xbox live. They ban both hardware as well as people's gamer tags for hacking their Xbox 360 and accessing their online service. A service which those people paid for.

I can't see them deleting your purchased music or videos from your device, but denying access to iTunes for your device seems plausible if they wanted to. Not sure what they gain by doing it, but they have been known to do this in the past. Not unlike AT&T changing your plan if you JB and tether.

Microsoft is also starting to remove the bans. Why because they realized they were losing revenue. Instead of gaining. Also the main reason for modding a Xbox 360 is to run pirated games. This is not the case with the jailbreak community. Many people just want a open is

also your link is old and sherif_hashim is well known in the jailbreak community. He us one of the few even musclenerd isn't banned.
