Actually you are 70% wrong.

Most of the time pilots and drivers have NO idea what cargo they are hauling. Its not like Apple ships these in plain sight. they are wrapped in various layers to protect the hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cargo..

Next, pilots know they are hauling, "electronics, food perishables, ect". But nothings like, "apple watches". Somewhere along the lines someone can find out and let it slip, but that leads my next point... Pilots, staff and ANYONE involved with anything supply chain is under NDA/ They CANT talk about their cargo for the obvious reasons such as, safety.. Leaks happen yes, but this kids friend essentially is putting his job on the line just to spill some beans.. on shipment....

Heres a prediction... Apple will send another big shipment next week... Dont believe me, just go track the flights.

AND last,

DO YOU REALLY THINK that UPS doesn't handle planes FULL of cargo every single night? Or Apple just shows up and suddenly everyone at ups notices tons of new shipments? You don't think Samsung, Apple, Nokia, Blackberry, Toshiba, ect, don't use UPS and various other carriers for their cargo?

----------

As in, fulfilling all of their orders? I mean.. Isn't it obvious what the big is? They are ramping up production every single day. This isn't news people.

Have you noticed that Apple gets more press than the rest of its competitors? Apple is a big deal. The new watch is a big deal. Guys are going to talk to each other and I think the iPhone watches and the Apple Watches are going to be topics of conversation. So I think different guys in the delivery chain are going to know what they have. I assure you the drivers know when they hand over the same box all day to clearly rabid fanboys that they are delivering the iPhone. Heck the whole organization knows they have iPhones on the initial delivery day because they are on point for one of their best customers. Sure the other companies use the same services. But we also have heard reports that Apples delivery of iPhones is so large that it takes up significant capacity in the global delivery chain so that some other stuff doesn't get shipped. When that is happening folks know.

Will agree that hypothetical UPS is under NDA. However it does not surprise me that he would breach it to call his friend. Now friend maybe shouldn't have public ally posted here. But whatever. It isn't top secret stuff. And let's not discount that OP might be troll.

I'm just saying that it is very plausible that if there was a big Apple shipment that 100s of folks at UPS would know about it.

Maybe he meant new bands will be announced as shipped?

Op could you clarify. Did you mean that Apple is announcing new band styles, types, colors etc on Friday?

Thanks!
B

He said they had a big shipment of new bands arrive as well as watches. He said they were holding them until the end of the week to be delivered. Presumably, there were getting lots of band shipments going out to stores and individuals on Friday. That is all he said.

That's my assumption as well. But it seemed that a few people on this thread thought he was saying he had inside information that They were "announcing" a new product, new bands. I think it was his use of the word announcing that may have confused people.

I'm refering to the people who said they didn't believe him solely on that fact.

Trying to help clarify.

Thanks

I'm refering to the op's reply post in this thread. See above.

I am the OP and just wanted to clarify. Sorry if the post was misleading. I am just as excited as everyone else and wanted to pass on information that I received from a friend on the "inside".

Thanks for the reply. I can't speek for anyone else but I'm not questioning your motives.

Could you clarify what you meant when you said new bands are being announced? Any information on what they are? New sport band colors perhaps?

Thanks
B

All he said were that new bands had been arriving and that they were holding them to be delivered later this week. I would not assume he meant new colors, just that there were lots of bands arriving. He really did not elaborate, and I did not ask for clarification because I was too excited about the big shipment of watches he alluded to.

He said announcing new bands. Announcing doesn't mean shipping or arriving. Unless you say they will announce the arrival of new bands.

BradDylan, I am not sure I am following you, but I want to apologize for any confusion based on what I have said about watch/band stock coming into the US.

You have nothing to appologize for.

Apple will be announcing a new car soon by the way.

Thanks

Now does that mean "Apple will be shipping a car soon?" Or "Apple will be telling everyone about plans to release a car soon"?

REALLY?!?!?! You should ask the moderators to start an Apple Car sub-forum.

The UPS drivers definitely know what's in those boxes. There's that distinctively long shape, for one, and the Apple point of origin. The guy who brought mine around 5:00 pm said he'd been delivering those watches all day long!

The driver that brought ours asked what it was cause my wife was so excited. She told him and he said I thought they were long skinny boxes. He didn't know the SS come in a different size box. So they don't know. And I think they are a little busy to check out where my package originated.

according to 9to5, the stores WILL have bands in stock starting on Friday....My GUESS continues to be we will see the stores have watches in stock starting June 1 or so.

Maybe just maybe?

I know I know crazy talk right here like conspiracy ******** lol but I think the incoming airplane from Shenzhen Bao'an Int'l aka where the watches are made to Alaska will have our watches for the xx:18-xx:19 and above and whatever is left before that in time. The reason being is if you look at flights on May 17th there was 2 planes from Shenzhen to Alaska arrived around the same time this current plane is meaning we might get ours by the end of business on Friday hence that huge ****ing wave that knocked out most of the times up till xx:17, which if you haven't noticed on the forums is when most orders were put in and after the xx:17 there wasn't has many orders. Idk maybe I'm just ****ing losing it from this whole ordeal over a ****ing watch hahaha god damn apple lol

If this is true, I expect a HUGE media backlash. 4-5 weeks backorder and then stores get them in?

Now, if you tell me is a watch that nobody is buying, which means I can go on the online store and get it within a week, sure. But if I walk into my Apple store and can get a Space Gray 42mm Sports watch while others here wait WEEKS... /Yea, that won't be well.

Giving Tim Cooks horrible perception of time, and his "estimates", June means June 30th and it'll 2 models...In limited stores.
