That said, Windows users do have bad breath and are lousy kissers, no offence ;).

This is probably the most ridiculous, insane, mind-boggling thing I have ever read on a message board. . .

You actually kiss Windows users?

;)

Errrh, no, of course not, ahem....

Their bad breath, dandruff and unattractive physique keep me away, I just heard about the kissing part ... ;)

Wait for the update and get that, or wait for the update and buy the current model from the Clearance part of the Online Apple Store for cheaper!

And if she uses Photoshop on a PC, the transition is very smooth.

Was thinking that exact same thing, didn't think of the clearance part though. She's used to used to using Corel Paint Shop Pro X2, so it might be a little more of a learning curve than just going from PC to Mac, but it keeps her busy so I pull out the XBox controller, without her asking what I'm doing :D

Although she doesn't bother me when I'm playing anyway, fortunately for her

I can see where he is coming from. He did you a favor by exposing you to the harsh reality that is OS X and learning a new OS. I didn't know about Mac Rumors when I got my first Mac, but like most people I knew my way around a wintel box. I grabbed a few OS X books and can now administer OS X on an inner-os level. Sure thats not everyones cup of tea, but you flaunt your 'skilla' as a dev, and I would expect someone with your level of knowledge and understanding of systems to appreciate the painstaking process of a new OS. But the other guy could have helped you out a tad ;).

That said, its alarming how many users come in and say, "I just bought a Macbook ____. LEARN ME!" And refuse to surf the manual, Google, MRoogle, ask the local genii or anything. If anyone asks a question and I can take the five seconds to pull up a PDF of the manual, i'll actually cite it with page numbers. Infact, its kind of sad with the lack of power users in this particular community. Everyone seems to be a pro videographer, photographer and music producer but don't really know why they bought a macbook.
