I just called my Apple Store! They will have the White iPhones tomorrow!!!

Those of you going to the Tampa Int'l Plaza Apple Store where exactly will you be lining up? Will the mall stay open all night for people to line up by the Apple store?

I'm from Sarasota and thinking about going to the Tampa store at 7 AM, but don't know if that'd be too late.. Would the Brandon Apple store be a better bet?

I wouldn't trust this supposed Press Release posted on the Gizmodo site. I've been the Apple website, news page, everywhere on apple.com today, and NOWHERE does it say ANYTHING to this extent about the white iPhone being unavailable until mid-July.

I think the lack of white iphones is all a ploy by Apple to try to avoid the rush. They probably think they can spread out the madness by holding whitewanters at bay.

called 3 different Apple Stores.

One store said, "we will not confirm nor deny..."

The other 2 just said, "NO" so...

All 3 told me they will have all colors for bumpers. I doubt that...

Apple issued a press release today stating that the white will be out second half of July. This lady at the Apple store doesn't know what she is talking about.

so what you're saying is that retail managers carry more weight than apple as a company even though they made an offical announcement that white iphones won't be around til late Jul.

I know this is an apple forum and people are passionate about it but sometimes, just sometimes, try to use a little bit of common sense. Apple has made an official statement about the white phone NOT available til later in Jul. Now, I don't know about you but there have been plenty of times where I get false info from retail people over the phone or in store and later find out, certain things aren't in stock or they didn't understand what I was asking for...etc. Do you really think Apple will send white phones to certains stores and make a public annoucement stating otherwise?

They probably don't know that the white boxes made for the white iPhones are instead being used to house black iPhones.

I mean the box for the White iPhone 4, not the White box for the black phone, but the actual box for the white model phone. I can't find any such picture of the actual retail box for the white phone ANYWHERE at ALL.

The Brandon store isn't as busy as Tampa's, due to the fact that Tampa's Apple Store is located within a very large upscale mall. I'd go to Brandon's if I were you. It'll be less people for sure.

I have to say, I think Apple people really know their stuff, but in the middle of the chaos that is iPhone 4, it would seem that no one has any idea what is going on.
