You're missing the point OP. People have different preferences. I like to play games on my ipad, or watch video, checking out elements (good app by the way), checking out the solar system, ergo the bigger screen.

On my phone its opposite. I don't like to have games on it, but instead I like to have productive utilities that help with everyday life. Like quickly snapping a picture, quick texting, searching maps.

I don't have any of the same apps on both devices.

So in essence you can enjoy and have a use for both.

Saying that the 6 Plus is a "two handed device" is a questionable proposition in the first place. In my (anecdotal) experience 90 or so percent of what I do on it can be achieved with one hand. Concurrently, while the 5 series was much smaller plenty of people used two hands with it all the time. In my estimation the whole "issue" is very much a case of people actively looking for something to complain about.

I'd put it like this:

iPhone 5S and older: Truly one handed devices. Everything you need to do on the phone can be done with one hand without issue (for most people). Two handed operation can be done, but may feel cramped.

iPhone 6: One handed device that may require some adjustment of your grip to achieve all functions. Two handed operation is easier.

iPhone 6 Plus: 1.5 handed device. Many functions can be accomplished with one hand, but a few will require two hands. Frequent two handed operation is quite comfortable on this phone.

iPads: Truly two handed devices. Using these in one hand for anything other than reading isn't going to work.

So while I agree that the average person can achieve most things on the Plus with one hand, two hands may sometimes be a necessity, which isn't true on any other iPhone. iPads are basically only usable with two hands, unless you have something else propping it up like a stand or case.
