I know. It's creeping me out. It always happens when I yawn and neglect to cover my mouth. I'm sitting here in the library studying for my midterm and as I'm leaning over my binder I suddenly yawn. I don't react fast enough AND I'm far too lazy to cover my mouth, as my hands are underneath the table, so I yawn open-mouthed. As hard as I try to keep my mouth relatively closed during the whole yawning process, I can't manage to do it, and I think the clenching of my facial muscles actually exacerbated the gleeking effect... then...
BOOM! Pssshhhht! Dammit! What the ****?! I inconspicuously wipe the page of my binder free of the hundreds of tiny saliva droplets coating the text. I glance to the left and right of me, relieved that no one noticed my brief moment of serpentine behaviour. Then I decide, to hell with this, I'm writing on MR about it.
So who else manages to do this from time to time? It's completely natural but I haven't caught anyone else doing it ever since I noticed myself doing it (when I entered school and began yawning far more often). Can anyone here do it voluntarily?
For those who have no clue what I'm talking about:
