FPS games DO have mouse acceleration--often optional or adjustable :) And they use their own mouse system, not the OS's.

(And I could swear that Windows uses mouse acceleration too, although with a different curve.)

well if windows uses it then it is 50x better than the mac version.

it's sickening, especially when i'm already in a bad mood and i have to try to put up with the inaccuracy and the speeds constantly changing on me

please? doesn't anyone know of a free program to fix this? it really annoys me...

does anyone have a solution to this -PROBLEM-

like steermouse? but not a trial

Dirty Mouse Inards

I don't know how but somehow it seems you must gotten the mouse
dirty on some surface.
Sounds like your ball tracker needs to be unscrewed on the bottom and the
tracking gear cleaned. Be careful when you do this and don't force it.
Just scrap the goo off your inards and it should work or take it somewhere
and have them do it for you.$

sir

come on you guys this is annoying me so much ... it makes going on the computer an annoyance and chore instead of what it's supposed to be. why couldn't they just have made it easy to use instead of difficult and annoying!??! AAGHH im so angry right now.

i wish you could all just understand what i'm talking about instead of trying to make it seem like it's not a problem.

Nobody wants to help you anymore since you insist on saying it's not the way "its supposed to be" because you don't like it, even though we all explained to you many times that it is the way it's supposed to be, and you simply don't like it. Not to mention we already gave you a solution that modifies the standard Mac OS mouse movement techniques to your liking.

No there are no free ones, sorry.

Just go down to Walmart or Best buy and buy a mouse and keyboard for 10.00-15.00 bucks. That is how I got my last mouse and I still have it. It works like a dream! I paid 10.00 and that included a keyboard.

hmm i don't know, i like the scroll ball of the mighty mouse and the side things, and the shape and its so pretty and argh. but the way the screen doesn't match with your actual hand movements annoys me :(

argh!! why isn't steermouse free!

well i originally had the sensitivity set to full, and i turned it down one notch and it's a lot slower now but i can live with the speed changes a bit easier

Seriously, is $20 so much? Someone had to do work to make SteerMouse, and now they want to be compensated for that work? What's so hard to understand about that? Good grief.
