You can always search around to get a G5 Quad 2.5GHz. It's going to cost less than buying a 3rd party proc for the G4.

I picked one up recently and it's been quite the improvement over the QS G4 Dual 1GHz I was using.

LOL! For me, it's about my Quicksilver. Technically, I already have a dual 2.0Ghz Giga Designs upgrade. What I need right now is a new ATX PSU.

I have a G5 (it's being used at work). I used it for 8 years straight at work. The G5's are decent machines and I do want a Quad, but I don't want to deal with the potential problems of an LCS leak.

The Quicksilver however, is my main interest. One of these days I'll be running a dual 2.0Ghz PowerMac G4 Quicksilver. It's just a matter of getting all the right pieces.

OK, ok. I can hope. But I can get it to around 1.8Ghz. I've done that before, but it wasn't stable.

Yeah, but where would be the fun in it. ;) See? :)

(I actually had a DC 2,3GHz G5 for a while and it was good even quieter as my G4 at light use, but then I decided to sell it and go on tinkering on my G4. Also I thought, I can get a G5 everytime again and with thsi machine one of the fans had a really quite, almost not noticable "rattling" (not exactly) sound, so I thought next time I try to get a real perfect one. In the meantime I play with my G4).

I didn't even get to bid. I forget to be there, when the auction ended.
I always bid in the last 15seconds (of course, not using a bit sniper, so that does not bear a certain risk, if Wifi gets slow...)

feel pity for you. hope you will be luckier next time.
i once wanted to buy a product on pabbos, but i didn't have enough money at that moment. then after two days, its price lowered, and i bought it.
things always will go better.
