They're shipped!

I just got my shipping notice from Apple. 2 x 64GB, WiFi, one gold, one silver, UPS Ground shipping to the Boston area. The tracking isn't live yet though, so I don't know where they're shipping from or when they'll arrive.

Interestingly, this is the first time I've ever had UPS shipping from Apple. All our previous iGadgets since 2008 have shipped via FedEx.

On Edit: They're shipping from Harrisburg PA, so I'm guessing Thursday, not tomorrow. :(

I am in nyc from same place of origin and is coming Tomorrow... Could still be tomorrow :)

Ordered within first 30 minutes.
Delivery notice is Oct 22-24.

Status is still preparing for shipping.

If it still hasn't shipped;
I'm not sure how Apple is going to get it to me by the 24th.
we shall see.

I'm crossing my fingers that I get a shipping notice tonight as I would get it tomorrow from PA to NY. And hopefully not late enough that I get a tracking number after I fall asleep as I would rather pick it up from the UPS facility instead of waiting all day. Oddly enough my smart cover came super early this morning.

Mine did too even thought UPS said they were coming between 2-5. Grrrr... People need to be able to plan to be around for deliveries. Sheesh!

So you can use http://flightaware.com/live/fleet/UPS to look at UPS flights in the air. The last time I had an Apple product shipped from China, the Anchorage leg came from Hong Kong (VHHH is the airport code for Hong Kong, PANC for Anchorage). Depending on demand, there can be several flights between China and Anchorage, and from Anchorage to Louisville, and some major US cities have more than one flight from Louisville.

Thanks for the great tutorial DoofenshmirtzEI. You're right about coming from Anchorage, I remember this from something I got a few years ago. This time I see two flights from ZUU (Chengdu, China) that left around the time my pkg was last scanned (4:14AM Wed. their time 4:14PM Tues. my time): Phuket, Thailand or Amsterdam. Update : I was wrong. It landed in Incheon, South Korea. It looks like there's a flight from there to Anchorage but I guess I can't tell where it's going next until it departs Incheon.

Im thinking uk cellulars just started shipping so maybe well get our notices at around midnight or 3am.
 
For all the people who bought iPads and are expecting them to deliver to NYC, it took one day for my iPad Air case to get to NYC.
It shipped out 12PM on Monday and I got it 12:20PM Today (Tuesday) so it might be the same kind of way for the iPads. This was via UPS Ground and shipped from PA to NYC.
 
Mine says "preparing to ship," but it still lists Oct 27-29 as the delivery date. :( I wish I could pay $10 or something for faster shipping. Drat.

I have a delivery date set for Thursday by 8 p.m. FedEx in PA too. Is FedEx pretty reliable as far as dates are concerned?
 
If the US cellular models are delayed, they haven't adjusted new orders to reflect anything significant. They're still promising delivery by next Tuesday, 10/28, if you order now.

What does apple say on their website? Email said 22nd and while ups did sta0te Thursday it now stats tomorrow

I live on Long Island and my Smart Case was shipped Ground from Harrisburg yesterday and I received it today. Same with one of my iPhones last month. Worst case for me it doesn't actually ship and start moving until tomorrow and I will have to wait for Thursday.
