i believe you totally. apple has some hidden stuff that they posted, and then removes it right away a minuete later. happened twice. forgot what page was it that they added/removed. sometimes it's like an "ops" or a test, or just for fun. the opposite happens too. remember the secret 1.42 mac minis that are being sold, that is a good example.

Ha!

Remember the "premature" G5 specs?? ;)

If they really wanted it to be like iTunes, they'll skip 10.4.3 and go straight to 10.5. Then 2 weeks later, they'll release 10.6 which has one additional feature. :p

Is it going to be like iTunes 5.0.2 where we get glimpses of it and then Apple skips it, going straight to 10.5 instead?
They're going to number it 10.4.2.1, Just Because.

w00t! I hope 10.4.3 eliminates the damn Safari warning, "It looks like you are opening an application etc. etc." Drives me f-nuts. I know there is a 3rd party workaround but I tend to shy away from those in case they hose my system. It's about friggin time...

Apple, and other companies, frequently load stuff onto their sites only for a short minute or so to check things and then take it back off.

You'd think though, wouldn't you, big company like Apple...big
computer company like Apple...kinda have enough kit lying around to be able to cobble togther a pre-prod environment for their web site.

D'ya reckon? ;)

Microsoft actually released a fix for this quite some time ago. It's called Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, you need to be running Windows for it to work. But they totally left out all that annoying security-schmecurity stuff. Check it out!

No they didn't.

Whenever I use IE on Windows and try to download something, IE complains that whatever file I'm downloading may be infected with spyware and viruses and explot some major Windows bug to hose my system. Well, maybe it doesn't tell me the last bit.

Aloha,

I wish I could give you more optimistic news, but MacOSXRumors is reporting that 10.4.3 may not fix this.

Link

macOSrumors is VERY unreliable. I never trust them on rumors. They are almost never right.

Yes, I think he was being fcetious as well--especially considering IE for OS X was last updated in, like, 2003  It's still at 5.2.3 I think. But hey that's still better than 5.2.2--now THERE was a piece of crap.:D

Oh yeah, my roommate uses that sometimes. Well, she did until it screwed up her system and the internet sporadically stopped working....but it's very security free. You can give yourself a virus without even knowing it, you just open up a website and bam! Great stuff.

well folks looks like it isn't coming out today.. i retract an earlier post and now state that it shall probably come out this weekend perhaps?
