Oh boy, another one of those threads that ends with "fact" and "period".

Stop right there! If he says Touch ID is slow and less convenient than Face ID it's a fact! Period.

Way to read all the way through my post ladies. Back around the day I posted it, I thought to myself, well there are likely to be some typical knee jerk snarky replies to my thoughts, because people can’t wait to pounce on anything anyone says that might make them feel fleetingly superior, so I’d better add a disclaimer. But was that good enough for the YouTube generation with the moth-like attention span? Nope.

"Yeah yeah yeah, I know, so many other similar threads...

I’m not advocating returning the X. I’m not saying any other iPhone is overall better.

But facts are facts.

Forgetting evil twins and other lookalikes, the real problem with TouchID isn’t security. It’s speed.

Face ID is slower and less convenient than Touch ID. Period dot."

This was your post. Now read it all yourself.

Anyone can make the argument which is better or which is faster with touch ID versus face ID. But allow Face ID the opportunity to mature and refine through hardware and software improvements. The expectations with Face ID are critical, but it will improve and expand, it has too, Technology is always changing and it is never stagnant. The Majority complaints for Face ID is speed, which we don’t know that won’t be an area of improvement in the future.

While Touch ID Seems faster as it starts unlocking the moment you grab it out of your pocket, Face ID is more secure and will play a significant role in AR down the road
I wish the iPhone had both

I think it can be said that for many, many people, FaceID is not a replacement for TouchID. It goes without saying that FaceID will improve, as TouchID did. Until then, we must accept FaceID now with what feels like for me and many others, to be beta hardware.

Stop presenting subjective opinions as "facts" and adding "Period." to personal views - and I'm sure there will be far less knee jerk snarky replies. Even among the YouTube generation, oh you old and wise one, you.
