The scratches look shiny and have their own style making each jet black unique and with its own story. Seeing the individual scratches brings out a type of individuality for each of the scratches with their own shine and patterns and personality.

It feels amazing to hold and the scratches and the overall beauty, design and feel of the phone create a robust ever changing design that changes as you live your life.

And I think the Jet Black color would be difficult to keep it perfect from micro abrasions anyways, with or without a case. And for as much handling as a cell phone has today, scratches are inevitable. At least you are enjoying your iPhone.

Finger print art is pretty cool! You use your fingers to make your own custom temporary design.

Originally I freaked out when I had scratches but now I look at things differently.

I fully agree with him. There has been an awful lot of nit-picking going on and it's nice to see someone who can enjoy their phone for what it is. For me, it's just a phone and as long as it works, I don't care.
not everyone is you

Using your phone worry-free is great! It does sound like you're rationalizing pretty hard though. Put some scratches on your car, it adds character, shine and personality lol.

Problem is, I can't see the fine micro-abrasions on my JB unless it's under bright sunlight or a direct light source. I normally don't see them on a daily basis so how can they add character and personality?

If you've actually induced scratches such that they're visible under all conditions, I'd say you're rationalizing in damaging your iPhone.

i dont believe this for one second. i bet next week there'll be a slightly deeper scratch that will be annoying to you. then you'll start looking for actual real 'flaws' to convince yourself you got a dud phone. then you'll call/live chat apple support to coax them to replace your phone, using aforementioned made up flaw. then you'll visit the genius bar. then they'll reject your request. then you'll feel like an idiot for a second then annoyed because you just spent $1000 on a scratched up phone. then you'll come back here and start another thread on jet black scratches.

happens every year around this time of year haha

ps: I'm guilty of this too

Woa...So in 2016 we pay so much money for a product with some cool features like SCRATHING ! OW YES !! How is this...real?

I am afraid of that time when we will say : HMM my scratched BMW is so awesome :3. I just danced with my keys around my car and it's looks amazing :D. Scrathes FTW. BTW I am gonna scratch my own skin because this feature is so cool !

No, my scratches are only visible under bright (generally concentrated) light and that creates a shine that gives the scratches their own unique shine. If the scratches essentially were easily visible and with no shine and actually took away the shine of the jet black then sure i would not be happy.

I bet you could have just bought a jet black case...........................

Too cover up your key black phone. L
