I lost my iPhone 14 Pro Max. I left it behind at a conference, and they can't seem to find it. So I am in the market for a new phone.

I am wondering if I should wait until next Friday, Black Friday, or later to see if there are sales on the 15 Max Pro. Any thoughts?

Get it now, I haven't heard of an Apple BF discount on iPhones.

Apple already posted their BF deals and the 15 series isn't included. Your best bet is looking for carrier or 3rd party deals

Wait? I would have to replace my phone the day it was lost, no matter what.
I waited one day and tried calling the conference venue where it was geo-located. No one picked up. I wiped the phone and will check back with them on Monday or after the holidays. If I get it back I can sell the 14 Pro Max or use it as a dev phone.

I bought a 15 Pro Max yesterday. It is a nice phone, and I should never need to carry a lightning cable again.

Keep trying to track your iPhone 14 to see if it moves and let us know. I’m curious if its fate haha. Do people still have any reason to steal iPhones with activation lock and serialized parts?

I don't see it active anymore, so perhaps the wipe killed that, or the battery is dead. It has been five days. But it never moved the entire time I could check its location.

I got a better number to call and talked to the security people at the venue. No one has turned in the phone.

Is there anything I need to do beyond the wipe I did to ensure no one can use the phone and its apps to get into bank accounts, email, etc.?

‘The wipe should have you safe. Glad it worked out, enjoy your new iPhone.
