Wow, less than 2 weeks after they took back a year old water damaged 13" MBP and replaced it for free, Apple has done yet another great thing for me! I recently purchased a 15" refurb from the website. It came to me with 2 problems, the left speaker was non-functional and the webcam was really out of focus. I took it to them and they fixed it in about 3 days time. then when i got it back i noticed last night that the keyboard was not lit up. I then troubleshot it and took it back to the apple store. The Genius behind the counter apologized for the "Lemon" MBP that they sold me and offered to exchange it for another. I purchased the refurbished 15" feb 8th of this year. I then mentioned the brand new series they just came out with today. and asked if i could return this one and purchase the 15" quad core i7. (it costs 1799 brand new) They said sure and that i will just have to pay the difference! So i returned the refurbished macbook to the RETAIL store (yes certain stores will take them back!) They gave me a gift card worth 1700$. then they brought out a brand new i7 15" and discounted it to be an even swap! So i am now the owner of the MBP 2011 refresh Model. (Ps they also threw in the free printer deal to! haha) The customer service at my apple store really is amazing!
