Oh cool, I might need to grab some of those grips. And yes please do let us know how that icarbons works for you. Also pictures would be nice. I might want to go that route instead of a clear skin.

Very nice its about time someone comes out with a skin for this. Is this a skin for the back or the front where the keys are?
On the livechat on the site they told me its for the front & back both and that actual pics will be posted by Mon or Tues. They also gave me a code for free shipping, WWCHATFREE

Once I receive and have installed the iCarbon Logitech Ultrathin Aluminum Skin, I'll report back & possibly post a pic too, but in the meantime, here's a shot of my Logitech Ultraslim with removable & re-aply-able BlueLounge rubber "kicks" attached. The other shot is of my iPad 3 (with BestSkinsEver skin installled) seated in the Ultraslim keyboard's iPad holder. :)

Thanks, I still can't grab myself to spend $25 on some skins for my logitech keyboard, the keyboard only costed me $80.

Awesome, thanks a lot for the pics! I think I will pick some of those grips up and put them on top of my skin which ever I choose. I'm excited to see how that brushed aluminum finish icarbons turns out.

iCarbon skins are being delivered today -- I am going to try a thin piece of magnetic tape underneath the skin by the spacebar to see if that might help the keyboard cover stay shut better.

UPDATE: Magnetic tape didn't really do anything plus there is not enough depth for the tape and the skin. BUT, I suggest using the keyboard cover in conjunction with the smart cover as posted in another thread. That works well in case keyboard comes dislodged in shoulder bag.

I'm expecting delivery of the Brushed Aluminum iCarbon Skin for my Logitech Ultrathin TODAY, so seeing that pic has me more excited than ever to receive and install it. :)

I think the "Brushed Aluminum" iCarbon skin will nicely compliment and integrate well with my Black iPad with BestSkinsEver clear skin over aluminum back. :)

I just took delivery of the aforementioned iCarbons Skin but disappointed to discover the thin cardboard "US Priority Mailer" it was mailed in had become damp and crimped during transit from Florida to here (California). Haven't had rain in 2 days here, so I suspect it happened in FL or somewhere along the route. I've emailed iCarbons to report the problem (along with pics) so hope they will send me a replacement ASAP. I also suggested that next time they need to include a couple of cardboard sheet inserts to help keep the thin US Mail Priority Mailer from becoming so easily bent/crimped. Here's a pic of the damaged (crimped) iCarbons skin.

try using a blowdryer on it. it works really well when getting rid of creases in the corners when applying it.

Yeah I was just going to suggest this too. This kind of 3M material smooths right out with a little bit of heat, plus you'll have to apply heat to the corners to form them to the Ultrathin anyway, so it should go down without issues.

Wow what a huge disappointment, please keep us updated on what they respond with. Hopefully they have good customer service and send you a replacement ASAP!

Though a hairdryer may work to eliminate crimps and creases created at the corners during installation, I'm concerned that this technique may not be as successful eliminating the crease and crimps already present in the skin BEFORE installing. I trust that iCarbons will get back to me and send me a replacement right away via priority mail or quicker.

In the meantime, I just got an email from Rosa at iCarbons who told me to go ahead and attempt the blowdryer method that boraxatude suggsted ;) and said that if I'm not entirely satisfied with my install result, that iCarbons will gladly send (fastest shipping method) a brand new replacement. I appreciate iCarbons quick email response. I wonder if iCarbons read my post here too. :)

You need to watch the video on the iCarbons site about how to apply the corners. On the fourth corner, they peel the skin back quite a bit, crinkle the skin up so it's sticking to itself and creased. They then use the hair dryer to remove the creases and they re-apply the skin.

I am hard pressed to figure out how the skin they sent to you arrived in that condition. It's sealed inside a cellophane envelope, which is inside the heavy 'cardboard' envelope. Just getting rained on would not result in the 'damage' you saw. EDIT: I looked at your picture again and, IMO, that's not damaged and you should not have any problems applying it.

I have the Blue Lounge rubber 'kicks' for my Logitech keyboard and they work great!
