When i buy a phone i look at the specs not the looks. If he buys a 5c he buys essentially a 5. This is confusing for me.
I'm the opposite. I'm attracted by looks. One of the reasons I stayed with my iPhone 5 and did not get a 5c.

I check specs too, but that's a secondary consideration for me.

I check out specs but I buy and sell a lot of devices. So for me, I have to enjoy it too.
If I'm not happy with how it looks, the performance will appear dull.

I care about looks a lot too. Since I generally only keep a phone for 3-6 months, I like to be able to enjoy it fully while I have it. I've actually sold devices I'd just bought in less than a month if I truly couldn't stand their looks. Like the S3. I can't stand white bezel. LOL

Yeah, totally get that. No offense to anyone who values specs first, but my thinking is that if that is the case, why iPhone?

Certainly there are better specced phones that are much cheaper. But you have an iPhone, so that means that either looks do come in to play or there is a preference for iOS, which other devices cannot run. In the latter case then, it becomes not a matter of specs, but a preference for iOS over other systems.

Which is fine, but if you're basing things solely on specs the iPhone would not necessarily be the winner.

I will say after having left iPhone for 15months and being on Android, up until November of 2013.

The new home button and iOS 7 definitely helped sell me on returning to iphone.

I find this odd too because the 5c is last year's flagship in a new case while the 5s is brand new and much superior hardware in a similar case of last year's flagship.

This is not odd nor confusing. I DID NOT like the iPhone 5. I bought it ,yes... I returned it ... Yes. I did not like the iPhone 5s as it looked like the iPhone 5. I bought the iPhone 5c because I liked the design much more. Simple.

It's personal preferences. Now I am saying that I was wrong the entire time and I actually like BOTH phones. The iPhone 5 and the iPhone 5s. However I still like the iPhone. 5C as well. I just personally had way too many issues.

Also, if you look at specs first you would not be on an iPhone. iPhone is not the nest specced phone on the market, but they are the most beautiful and have the best OS.

Indeed ... First time I've heard about such upgrade.

It's not common by any means, but after 6 different devices going bonkers there was no other options
