Thanks adrianlondon.

I've just tried via the app store and update refuses, says I need to update MacOS first. So that doesn't work - Apple are being bloody-minded to their loyal users.

I can't see a later version for Numbers in Archive. It offers iWork 2013, but that was created back in 2013 says x.com/Grok.

I'm now using Numbers version 10.3.9 created 2021/01/14. While Number 13.5 would be better - and a link to get that would be appreciated - at least I now have a version of Numbers working in my Monterey Mac.

Thanks a million everyone for all your help.

Thanks, adrianlondon. x/Grok agrees that the latest version of numbers that works on MacOS Monterey is Numbers 13.1.

x/Grok also says that iWork 13.0 was released on 2013/10/22. This is lots earlier than the creation date of 2021/01/14 of the Numbers 10.3.9 I'm already using.

I tried to download iWork 13.0 since that page says its publication date was 2023/03/30 and it's a Universal 2 application which work on Macs with Intel processors as well as Apple's own chips (which seems to conflicts with what i/Grok reports). But Monterey refused to open it since it couldn't verify the status of the developer. see:

Numbers opening refused cos not verified developer.png

Is there a workaround for this refusal?

It seems that Numbers version 10.3.9 will have to do. It is working after all. Any further ideas?

Thanks a million everyone for all your help.

Yes. Right-click and select "open", rather than double clicking. That usually works, but if not then you can usually override it in System Settings / Privacy & Security (after you click "cancel" or whatever to the prompt - it keeps the last failure and allows you to override it).

That worked well and I'm now happy and relieved to have Numbers working on Monterey.

Thanks everyone for all your help. Much appreciated.

My understanding is that v13.1 was the latest for Monterey.

I've found 13.0 but can't find 13.1 anywhere. I did find 13.2 but that requires Ventura.

Where is the 13.2 download? I need that, if you still have a public link handy.

EDIT: Maybe not after all. 13.0 works on Ventura for me.
