Quakespasm needs .PAK files to convert, which requires a full game or shareware version. Where did you get yours?

I have the original Quake CD for Mac and both mission packs.

Go to Paulthetall.com and see what he's been up to. You may find what you're looking for there. Apple will stick to it's gaming mindset as long as the age of CEOs and fellow partners stays in grandfatherland. Look at the App Store and arcade. NBA is the only title worth playing besides old Tomb Raider and Arkham offerings. Can't force what they will not listen to. My answer is we need a capable Mac. Mac mini to Mac to Mac Pro. The middle desktop is missing from the equation. A machine for the family that offers gaming specs for that family. Maybe with Nvidia's ARM takeover we will see more compliance from Apple on gaming. They will have to be willing to accept the offering or at least make deals for better titles for the App Store's arcade section. But, that still requires those software makers to change code for their SOC.

I'm rambling because this is a long going conversation in just about every forum you can imagine. Maybe we should send some hair coloring to the Apple executive staff and wait it out.
