I painted my PowerBook

Like some other readers I though "Oh my god" when I saw the title of the thread but after seeing the photo it's a different "Oh my god" because that's fantastic! :D
 
Looks great, when i first read the tilte I was thinking it would be like one my boss bought off of ebay. The person had just spray painted their g4 powerbook black, and did a very poor job. guess he was missing his g3 powerbook.
 
wasnt that longto do, about 3 or so hours. ive been in painting mode painting different surfaces.i was thinking about the red apple thing when i gotta get some plastic or somethin. it does look like its glowing. i just went with the glowing effect and blrighented it up. really looks cool in low lit areas. haha if anyone trusts me enough to paint they are more then welcome. but i doubt that

thegord, these are all great. Do you paint the black outlines or do you use a pen?
 
most of the time its pen and ink. best tool i ever used came from a chinese buffet, chopstick sharpened very good for outlines.

Interesting, thanks. I think I'd used a pointed wooden barbecue skewer in black ink before, but a chopstick would be great because you could keep sharpening and freshening it.
 
Wow, those are very nice. You definitely have a special talent for painting.

Do you paint for a shop in Tahoe, or just for friends as a hobby?
 
yea ive just been painting stuff for friends at heavenly. if i could get an in around do it, it would help out my rent, ha. anyone want something custom let me know, anything you could think of.

Your tree though...hmm. :) They are very tricky to paint. I've been trying to do a decent tree in watercolours for bloody years now. No joy.

I was just thinking either navy blue or some sort of yellow... white looks cool too.
 
i could paint it and looking into some sort of sealer for it, ipod that is. its just one of those heavily used devices where you put it in your pocket and forget it scratches against your keys and such. if you got one of those agent18 cases that would be sure to protect it, or paint that. i have to paint my friends phone soon, see how that one comes out

let us know how it turns out. i would certainly be interested in being able to have my 80gig iPod custom painted. :D
