So...for ages now I’ve been wondering what effect a Cape Cod cloth would have on a Space Grey Aluminium watch. I’m waiting on my titanium model to arrive this week and giving my Series 4 to a family member. I was polishing/buffing my silver iPhone 11 stainless steel edges and decided to give it a try. I do realise how Cape Cod cloths work and only slightly polished the watch around 10 times on each side as to not remove the space grey anodized layer. I think the result is fantastic.
It looks like a cross between titanium and aluminium. Shiny and catches the light. I’ve tried to take some photos to show it off. Obviously if you do something like this proceed with caution. I guess the silver aluminium would buff up just as well. Note - there are no signs of the silver coming through the space grey. I was careful especially around the edges of the band connectors. What do you think? In my opinion it looks better than the matt finish usually on this model/colour.
