All new products are always announced the first day in Steve's keynote ;)

2010 Mac Pro at WWDC = FAIL ;)

Look, my friends, you are now right back where you were in March. And then you waited 3 more months. And now what? Nada. Bottom line is:

Either buy a 2009 MP, buy a "Dell" or build a Hackintosh. Cause there ain't now 2010 MP right now. Oh, yeah, you can "wait" some more, too. And wait and wait and wait. And go f'n nuts in the process.

True, but it would be nice if they cut the price on the 2009 MP as we wait and go insane.

They still havent put the new iPhone on Apples website, so they might do a quiet update when they update their site.

Did anyone really expect Steve Jobs to make an announcement about the Mac Pro to a room full of people with raging iPhone hard-ons?

HAH! Good call.

One good thing did come out of today:

10:43 am iPhone 4 slowly barely loads NY Times.
10:43 am Steve apologizing again.
10:43 am Asks Scott for any suggestions.
10:44 am Someone shouts, "Try Verizon."
10:44 am Steve concludes demo.

I found that hilarious

Do WWDC developers use Mac Pros? And why September as next likely date?

I really don't know. Is the WWDC crowd likely to be a big market for Mac Pros? Do developers need MPs to develop apps for iPhones and iPads? Or do they get along fine with MBPs, iMacs and heck, maybe even Minis or Airs?

Just curious. I figure the main users of MPs are video, graphics and music producers ... and then others who do serious number crunching in science, stats, finance, etc. And if that's the case, WWDC would seem to make little sense for any kind of MP announcement anyway. But maybe my figuring is wrong.

My guess is that we're desperately grasping at straws, anything to hang an announcement on other than just another Tuesday.

Another question, if I may. Lots of posters are saying if not WWDC (or at least sometime in June), then we're probably looking at September at best. Why not July or August? Or does something specific happen in September that would trigger a release then?

Your other thread was deleted because it served no purpose. Threads exist to discuss the next Mac Pro. Please post in them.

the iphone4 add is up on Apple.com

so far for doing a quite update on the MP for today..tomorow...,next week...etc

i say no MP's for 2010...the year is almost over anyway...now that all the ipad iphone drama is over (hopefully) Apple is going to take time to maybe work on a proper MP update possibly a complete re-design to be released somewhere in 2011

I thought it was interesting...The fella that lead the development team for the "iMovie" mobile platform, spoke about how 15 years ago he was working on FCP code...

...Not that it isn't special, what they're doing on the mobile platforms...but I am a bit concerned about the pro level hard/software. Especially when they're moving their talented programmers in to the "mobile" programming sector.

Let's not jump off any bridges. The year is not even half over. The iMac was updated as late as October last year. WWDC just started today.

It's still possible that Mac Pro will be updated very soon. There was just no room for any mention of Mac at that keynote.

EDIT: There are three more keynotes (private ones) this afternoon. Who knows what will be talked about? Probably mostly iPhone stuff but who knows, Apple might mention something about a Mac Pro.

I think it is foolish for anyone to think the Mac Pro will receive any kind of announcement in any key note. It will be silently updated when it's ready.

I seriously need the Mac Pro to update NOW. Or at least this week.

My current computer is dying and acting incredibly stupid, and I need a new computer that can handle the newer Adobe Creative Suite in order to update many of my files that need updating.

I'm not willing to risk buying one today, when an update is so imminent - JUST GET HERE ALREADY!

Well, well... Apple is still "Introducing the new Mac Pro, featuring the Intel Xeon “Nehalem” processor." This is simply absurd.
