TouchID is instantaneous, even though it is 1st Generation.

I've noticed (at least on my SE) that I sometimes I have to rest my tumb on the Touch ID twice before the phone unlocks. It's not a huge deal, but my phone unlocks immediately on my 7. If Apple does update the SE, I would definitely like to see the newer generation Touch ID included.

I love mine also!!!
I think I'm going to take the plunge on the SE. I have the 6 Plus now but I've had it since launch day in 2014 and the battery isn't what it used to be. I like the big screen but I have a 12.9 IPP for media consumption. The only thing I think I will miss is the large screen for turn by turn directions in the car.

I'm not quite sure what to do.

Why not test out the SE in a retail store? I mean the screen isn't as great as the plus models, but I definitely love the pocketability of the SE in that I sometimes forget it's in my pocket.

They smaller keyboard will probably take some getting used to (especially coming from the plus), but I swap between my 7 and SE regularly and don't have an trouble adapting.

You just sim swap?

Just gave the wife a new SE today to replace her 5S. She notices the performance bump

I had an SE when it 1st came out then sold it to get the iPhone 7.... Hated, hated, hated the iPhone 7 so I decided to score a Black Friday SE.. Went to Walmart and got a 64GB version, Space Gray for $449 with a $250 gift card. Basically scored the SE for $200! Can't beat that!

Back in happy land with the SE now..

I paid $80 yesterday and just had a new battery put in my 6 Plus. Tip top shape now.

Cool.. As long as you are happy with the 6 then that's all that matters..

I've learned my lesson and will now hold onto the SE until the SE2 comes out... Hopefully the SE is not just a one and done thing for Apple.. I doubt it will be since it's one of their best selling phones.

Remember the 5C?

The 5C never sold in any meaningful numbers though and that's part of why it was axed.. The SE is one of Apples best sellers.

I really don't want to see an SE 2. I didn't buy the SE because it was cheap. I preferred the size and design over the iPhone 6 and 6s.

I would much rather see Apple just add a 4" model in their flagship lineup next year. I'd go for that.

Remember the 5C?

The 5C didn't sell well, relative to other iPhones, because it was a poor value. $100 discount from Flagship 5s for obsolete tech (32-bit CPU, no TouchID).

On the other hand, SE is a great value. $200-250 discount from Flagship iPhone 7. But the SE still has a very powerful A9 64-bit CPU, TouchID, Apple Pay, and 12MP camera. And it retains the headphone jack. On a cost:benefit basis, the SE provides a hell of a lot more bang for the buck than the 5C ever did.

Let's hope it sticks around. I almost bought 1 yesterday but decided to keep my 6Plus. I've started to squirt away about $40 a month so I can get the flagship 8S Plus in 18 months.

I just got rid of my 6S+ for the iPhone SE, I couldn't be happier. The 6S+ was just too big

Apple is not aware how nice job they done with iPhone SE.
They will not profit only from him because many people want small cell phone and because he is more affordable.
Now a lot of people who didn't had courage to invest immediately in most expensive models will meet with iOS and iPhone, and next time they will easier to pay some more expensive iPhone.
In my country I recommend iPhone SE to users who had Androids always and couldn't afford most expensive iPhone... Now they don't know what to buy but can't pay S7 or iPhone 6s or iPhone 7... they could pay 350-400$ and iPhone SE is available for that price even less over carrier. And some of them looking performance agree that maybe is time to try something different.
There are group of people who bought Androids because it's open system but they use only application inside phone, they never update OS, connect on internet, download apps or similar thing... and iPhone with default options will be far more attractive and for them.

I got my se with 16gb and think it's perfect for my needs. I do have big hands and I have no problem using any part of the device. Yea it's only a four inch screen but it is pocket friendly and has great speed and battery life. Two things that made it a no brained for me. I don't have a lot of apps songs videos or pictures so memory space is a non issue for me. Best priced phone on both sides of OS for my needs.

Yea price was great.
In East Europe carriers offer very good deals for iPhone SE 16GB if someone want.
And many people bought as first iPhone.
The best thing is because we have same look as famous 5s.
He is icon of all Apple cell phones and with newer hardware inside same as in iPhone 6s is perfect combination.
Even people who bought iPhone 7 Plus 256GB and could afford two cell phones could buy iPhone SE.
From one side that's legacy of Steve Job and all real iPhone fans should have one iPhone SE.

This little phone is so much better and more attractive than Androids and somehow
is warm enjoyable and you become very fast familiar with him.

I got an iPhone 7 for work so thought I'd log in my personal stuff and try it a bit. Found it difficult to hold, audio was patchy sometimes, mostly on bluetooth which was a surprise, but also with the audio adapter. The screen is lovely, I like the buzzes it makes and it looks nice, but for someone who mostly uses an iPhone like I did an iPod it seems the SE is better due to it's size and ergonomics (not to mention headphone jack)

I set up a couple of SEs for my friends migrating from the iPhone 4. Typing passwords was painful (having a 6 means I've grown accustomed to being slightly imprecise with typing) and the display didn't 'pop' the way my 6 does, but otherwise I found it to be an awesome little thing.

My friends were blown away by the speed (one likened it to buying a new potato peeler - something they hadn't thought about doing for the longest time, but once they did it, wished they'd done it a long time ago).

Roll on the SE2, so I too can join the club...
