I love the idea of the SE. It's beautiful design, smaller size, lower price, and amazing battery life are all really appealing. The only (and major for me) drawback is the lower quality 5s screen.

I know that my brain can adjust to yellower type screens over time... but the darker glue strip across the top of the SE screen was too much for me to overcome :(

Really hope the next generation gets a screen upgrade in the future to more of the 6s type quality and I'd be sold :)

I think it's great that the folks who want a smaller phone, not only got one at a decent price but packed with internals that are far more up-to-date than previous iterations.

I was looking at the SEs last night and love the idea (and price), but a bigger screen is priority for me.

There must be noticeable variation in display coloring depending on suppliers. My SE's display is slightly cooler than the panel in my old iPhone 5, and there's definitely no visible glue strip.

I hope that given the popularity of the SE, Apple will offer similar sizes phones in the future. If they are able to turn the whole display into a TouchID, and hide the FaceTime camera and front speaker, a bigger display in similar form factor should be possible.

The only feature I wish the SE had was water resistance. Besides this minor point, the SE leaves me wanting nothing more for now. Even after trying out the Jet Black iPhone 7 in the store, I still went with the SE.

I set up a couple of SEs for my friends migrating from the iPhone 4. Typing passwords was painful (having a 6 means I've grown accustomed to being slightly imprecise with typing) and the display didn't 'pop' the way my 6 does, but otherwise I found it to be an awesome little thing.

My friends were blown away by the speed (one likened it to buying a new potato peeler - something they hadn't thought about doing for the longest time, but once they did it, wished they'd done it a long time ago).

Roll on the SE2, so I too can join the club...

I don't have problem with fingerprint scanner...immediately unlock, almost as he is not locked at all.
I have 7 number password and sometimes I have not precise with typing but it's not big deal.

Even when I change phone I will keep my iPhone SE in original box as first iPhone.
Now I'm sorry because I missed 3s and 4s. I really don't need cheaper and depleted version of small PC in hand.
I have very strong PC with Intel 6 core and for cell phone iPhone serve me better than Androids.

Only negative thing with iPhone SE is headphone jack. :)
I like iPhone with Airpods and without jack from Walkmans from hippy period.

If only they would upgrade the SE from 16GB storage to 32GB like they did with the 6s, it would be the perfect phone for my needs.

Without reading the entire thread, just wanted to mention that some SE's are having bluetooth issues. Mine was one of them. BT to car and making calls was the issue. Calls to others from my SE through the car's BT were awful. Bad to the point of going to Apple Tech support where the tech begrudgingly admitted, off the record, that this was a known problem and Apple had not figured out the fix. And it didn't matter what iOS version I ran, the problem was always there.
Seems not all SE's had the issue so do your homework.

In the last couple of weeks, I bought a 64gb iPhones SE($0.99) and a 32gb iPhone 7($1.00), mostly because of the price and the fact that I needed to renews my contracts for 2 more years in order to keep the Verizon unlimited data. I honest do no need new phones at all.

I'm loving the iPhone SE because I haven't had a phone that can be operated completely with just 1 hand in a long time. (my other current phones are the Samsung Galaxy Note5, s7 edge, Nexus 6P)

This will probably make me look bad, but being able to use the iPhone SE with just one hand means that I use it a lot while sitting on the toilet. :) In addition, I was donating blood at the Red Cross yesterday. The needle was sticking out of my left arm, but I was still able to use my iPhone SE with just my right hand during the entire 30 minutes. (even managed to write several emails with just my right thumb)

LOL! Onto the toilet my good phone, j/k. Great deals there, I don't have Verizon unlimited unfortunately

Vision-wise, a bigger screen is paramount, otherwise I would have picked up an SE on Friday night stat.

I have discovered the joy of eating breakfast/lunch with one hand, while using the iPhone SE with another.

Yes iPhone SE 32GB would be perfect. I would pay 50 euro more for 32 GB.
But 64 GB is 110 euro more and than good offer is not so good.
32GB for same money that would be best Apple product.
Or at least if Apple increase Cloud Space to 10 GB.

iPhone SE 20 min usage, 5 hr standby, Battery 100%. Brightness on middle.
I must look how much usage when he drop on 4-5%.

When I should charge, when battery drop below 20% immediately?
I'm still on fabric iOS 9... I must update today or tomorrow.

Umm... I had an SE for a while & I loved it!!!

However, after upgrading to iOS10 for some insanely odd reason, mine kept over heating. The long battery life I loved suddenly become unbearable, lasting no more than four hours from a full charge. The back of the phone would constantly heat up and applications would stall, get stuck in various states, occasionally the entire OS would crash and restart without warning.

Annoyed the hell outta me, I contacted Apple assistance about this. They gave me various solutions in an attempt to solve the problem.. When all that failed, I asked would it be possible to change for a different model and to my surprise, they authorized a store credit for a phone that's over six months old.... I'm laughing.

Thank you for the post regarding your SE and iOS 10. It's proof positive it's the software causing the drain but there's no way I am going to keep this 7+ with 5 hours of battery life now. I won't exchange for another 7 either (I do miss the headphone jack and don't use the fancy camera enough to get another).

Yes, the solutions I was given I'd done already: in addition to deleting Notes app which I use extensively, I shut off iMessages (which I hear is a big culprit i text about once a day) and also turned off Raise to Wake. I will be definitely shutting off Raise to wake with whatever replacement I get tomorrow and just toggle messages on and off.

I hope you got a good alternative. I was almost considering a SE and an iPad Mini 4 but if they're both running iOS 10, nope.

There's nothing wrong with iOS 10, not regarding battery life any way.

I have a SE, iPhone 7 and an iPad Pro 9.7 all on 10 and my battery life is excellent on all devices. I use notes and iMessage frequently as well!

I've treated my Mum to iPhone SE for Christmas and had a play with it today (updated it to 10.2).

Although I've previously said the display is too small for my needs (as a daily driver) it's not a bad phone at all.

I get insane battery life from my SE... Not sure what the issue you are having is but mine is flat out nuts.. I am a light user but do have brightness at max. I easily get 2 full days without charging it and could push 3 days if I wanted..

That's pretty great, I was quoting the person who did not get good battery life on their SE. Unfortunately, my vision dictates a larger screen otherwise I'd be an SE user stat.

I consider myself a moderate to heavy user of my phone. I can get about one and half days on a single charge with my SE. My 7 battery can't even come close to matching the SE. I even find myself having to charge my 7 around 6pm, especially on a heavy day using the phone.

Which CPU? Impossible to be Samsung
