I think all MBPS should have this

The demand for a SIM slot is so low no one really cares. The cost is too high for the buyer right now to make it worth it.
 
GIven that just about every mobile phone on the market supports WiFi tethering I don't see the point in yet another device that requires a SIM.

I don't even see the point in cellular access on a tablet if I'm honest.
