happened to me. Apple says that it was going to be delievered today. Its; 2:12 right now, and nothing
Fedex is usually awesome, the lady on my route is cool as hell. BUT on one of my RMA it happened to be on a saturday and so the usual person was not there, he delivered to the WRONG apt building, not just the wrong apt, he completely missed the whole complex. He ended up delivering to a whole nother place. What an ARSE, this is the IPHONE we're talkin about! I had to play phone tag with fedex for about an hour before they realized they made a mistake.

I don't know if I'm hearing things or God is simply playing tricks but I keep hearing a diesel truck engine and I run to the window to see if its FedEx.

Hehe I do that as well. But it's more because there isn't a doorbell on the front door at the moment so if I don't catch the sound of the van pulling in, i'll probably miss the delivery.

I'm in the same boat you are, the last message on the tracking page said it left Orlando FL at 4am on Friday morning.
I'm an hour from Orlando so you would think it would have hit my local distribution center by now but there have been no updates. I gave FedEx a call and they thought it was strange put a trace on the package and will call me back when they know where it is.

What day did you order?? I ordered on the 5th and just chose ground shipping too. It shipped the the 5th with an expected delivery date of the 11th. My tracking has not updated either but Im quite sure it will be here tomorrow. For whatever reason their ground tracking system only seems to update on the day its set to be delivered. No worries, it will be there tomorrow.
Yeah, the tracking page is a little odd.
The FedEx page said delivery would be on the 8th, but since it was ground I didn't expect it then. But I did expect to see this morning a "Out for delivery" message or something but there's nothing. The Apple order page says the 10th for estimated delivery.
So I'll find out when I get home, I left the pre-sign form just in case they come when my wife isn't home. So we'll see. If anything it will be here tomorrow.
Wow, guess if mine was past the expected date of delivery I'd be wondering WTF was going on too. My email from apple says expected date of delivery is the 12th. But fedex says the 11th. From all the things I've bought from apple I've almost always gone with the free shipping. So far everything has been delivered by the expected date fedex gives.
I am still waiting on mine and the tracking page has not been updated since it left Memphis on Friday morning. Its supposed to come tomorrow and if it doesn't I'll be pretty aggravated...more than I already am with this useless tracking system.
I ordered on the 2nd, but it didn't ship until the 5th, so we should be getting our phones on the same day, awesome!

Just so you guys know, you can get $150 back from Apple because of their price protection guarantee. Don't bother with the rebate, you'll get $50 less. But call Apple ASAP!
Yeah, I already have a 8gb from the release, this one is for a 4gb clearance that I ordered so my wife and I can both have one.

My only concern is that I'm out of town on Thursday/Friday and would hate for it to show up then and get sent back because I wasn't home. FedEx will be getting another call soon. I'm pretty sure they'll hold the package till Monday so I can pick it up. That is, if it doesn't show up today or tomorrow.... I've already got an iPhone at home to play with so my urgency for it to show up isn't as great. I just want it to show in general!

Mine shipped last wednesday, the 5th. I chose ground shipping. Tracking said "expected delivery by the 11th" but did not update at all until this morning, showed out for delivery. And it has been delivered.

My order shipped on Wednesday the 5th as well.
I just contacted FedEx and they put me on with a trace agent.
The last message on the track page was:

My local FedEx distribution center that would receive the package from the Orlando distribution is around 45 miles away. The delivery date was supposed to be the 8th as well (which it should have been leaving Orlando at 4:20am).
They took down the package details, contents and its worth and have a trace on it right now as they said it should have already reached me.
They said if it doesn't turn up I will have to contact Apple who will get reimbursed for it and who I will have to work with. The person working the trace right now will contact me when they know for sure one way or another.
Needless to say I'm not too happy with FedEx right now.
Ahhh! Mine is still "on FedEx vehicle for delivery" and it's not here yet! AHHH!!!!!! The suspense is killing me!

FedEx lost the package.
Apple instantly refunded my money. I'm calling the local AT&T stores right now to check for 4gb models in stock, otherwise I'll just re-place my order for another 4gb clearance iPhone with Apple.
Bummer.
