Did you completely forget that you can sell your iPhone? I paid $900 AUD for my 32gb iPhone 5 and sold it a week ago for $600.

So approximately $300 for 2 years of use. Yeah sure more expensive than a Moto G but the iPhone was a hell of lot faster, better camera, better apps etc.

do 1 year old models get sold for 100$ less than what they where originally bought for?
like 650(16gig), 750(32gig), 850(64gig)-new

one year old $550(16gig), $650(32gig), $750(64gig)

I've never tried selling a phone a year after I've had it so i don't know the prices they go for around a year old. I usually upgrade without spending money when i keep my phone for 2 years and sell it.(just use the money for a subsidized)

I tend to get a new phone every one to two years but only loose around $250 which over the course of a year is not too bad.
