We all know Apple has been becoming progressively greedier and greedier and many people have been ok with that, but this year i think it's time that we say stop.

$999 for a phone that has literally not a single new feature besides slight improvements in water resistance and some "bokeh" crap that could literally be added as a software update. The a12 has only a 5-10% increase in performance cpu based on slides and the gpu upgrade won't be noticeable for at least the next 2 years.

the Xr could have been a success but it ended up too expensive considering it's a single camera with removed features like 3d touch. and what's with that disgusting bezel that looks worse than the iphone 8's bezel??

Maybe it's time to skip a generation and tell them that we're not gonna put up with being milked this easily?

The A11 is still the fastest mobile chip on the market. Why are you complaining that the A12 is "only" 5-10% faster?

Don't upgrade this year. A lot of people that are coming from 6 and 6s will more more than thrilled with today's announcements.

I feel your pain. I ate at a restaurant the other day that had the nerve to advertise a hamburger that cost the same price as the old one without adding any new ingredients. Last year I bought a new car, and it had no new features. What is the world coming to?

True, but I think Apple should have kept a more basic phone for those who do not care for Face ID. I know the 7 and 8 are still around, but what about in a couple of years from now when they are no longer for sale?

Go ahead. I'll be pre-ordering Friday.

If you can afford it, you will have a harrowing time avoiding the upgrade..Apple knows what it is doing..

My new car came with tires this year. Super excited.

No ones being used as a sheep. Apple release products, if people want it/like it they will buy it. If they aren’t happy with it they will return it.
No one is being coerced, tricked or forced into upgrading or buying anything they aren’t interested in, or spending more than they’re willing to on a phone.

I still have my 7 as I stopped upgrading after that year as, for me, the prices have gotten too high. But if other people think the phones are worth the price and are willing to pay what Apple are asking then who am I to tell people what to spend their hard earnt money on.

The X sold worse than expected.

Eventually people will get priced out. It’s already happening

When your football team is supposed to win by 21pts but they only win 14 is that disappointing to you? I’m sure Apple would of liked to have sold the projected amount but, the X was still a win for them and extremely profitable

That Bokeh adjustment is already available in Dark Room! Probably in many other 3rd party apps as well. They literally had nothing new in the XS! I can't justify why they didn't drop it to $899 this year! It's repackaged X all over again.

You’ll have to choose whether or not Apple has a product you want to purchase with the features you want, if not you’ll have to go elsewhere. I love manual transmission cars but, sadly they are being eliminated from every manufacturer until eventually they won’t exist. I will then have to decide whether to buy older vehicles equipped with manual transmissions or buy something new with a dual clutch trans. Technology keeps moving even if it’s not entirely embraced by everyone.
