I haven't seen this posted elsewhere, but I also haven't read every post on every thread so apologies if we've been down this road.

The pricing has long been a question for me. To keep status quo they have to hit 3 price points (on contract) $0, $99, and $199. And they have 2 phones coming.

When Gruber suggested last night the 4S would survive another day at $0, that struck me as very wrong. So here is my prediction:

$0- iPhone 5C -White only- 8GB
$99- iPhone 5C- multi colored- 16Gb
$199-399- iPhone 5S- Bk/Wh 32, 64, 128

They get to keep a $0 to get you in the door, but offer a very tempting up sell to $99. At any price for $100 more you double storage.

Seems very Apple.

you know you could just wait 3 hours and 30 minutes instead of trying to make theories :D
watch a movie, play some games, read a book, etc...

How would the i5 fit in to that tho?

The current rumors seem to point to the 5C having mostly iPhone 5 internals. I don't think they need it. And I think the naming would be confusing to the layman. The 5 is better than the 5C and worse than the 5S?

You're right, these boards are full of people who hate making theories about Apple, what was I thinking? Anybody up for Monopoly?

I REALLY hope there isn't an 8GB iPhone anymore. That size is way too small to be useful anymore.

The only reason Android phones can get away with 8GB is because they have expansion slots. The absolute minimum for an iPhone should be 16GB, and I feel even that's too small. Flash memory is cheap enough to make the minimum 32GB with hardly a dent in Apple's profits.

I think I mostly agree with you. I'm predicting the 5S starts at 32GB.

But to keep the cost down and encourage up selling I think the cheapest model starts @ 8GB.

Most people who care about storage are going to buy the flagship anyway.

My predictions for unsubsidized pricing:

iPhone 5C 16 gb: $399
iPhone 5 16 gb: $549
iPhone 5S 16 gb: $649
iPhone 5S 32 gb: $749
iPhone 5S 64 gb: $849

It just doesn't make sense to try to formulate something, when you will get a guaranteed answer in a few hours.

Maybe this, but only if the 5c is better than iPhone 5:

$0 - iPhone 5 - 8GB
$99 - iPhone 5C - 16Gb
$199 -399- iPhone 5S - 32/64/128

I hereby relieve you if the reponsibity of reading threads that upset you. You are free, my brother.

Maybe watch a movie, read a book, or play a game. Enjoy!

I thought about that but I think the form factors are too confusing. The phone that looks almost identical to the best phone is now the worst?

And the price for us countries who don't have ridiculous contracts?

I'm hoping both the 8 and 16GB options are dropped for the 5S, meaning the top price of £699 stays but they just shift the brackets.

I'd expect it (unsubbed) to be:

5C:
8GB - £99
16GB - £149
32GB - £199
(possibly) 64GB - £299

5S:
32GB - £349
64GB - £449
128GB - £699

It's possible the 5S prices will be £50 above this, so that's my tolerance for the pool haha

Subbed = 50% off all above pricing, with the 8GB 5C coming in Free.

My guess would be

$0 5
$99 5C
$199 5S

I almost think the 4S would be at $0 pushing the 5 to $49, but I see them trying to get the 30 pins out of there already.

I can't see the 5 being taken off the market like that.

I think it should be

$0 5c
$99 5
$199 5S

My reasoning is because the 5 is more "premium" and the aluminum feels more expensive.
