After having an iPhone 4 for the last month I could never let myself buy an iPad. The iPad has yet to receive ios 4.0! And in a matter of months a new iPad will be released with more ram and most likely a front facing camera for FaceTime. Sure the current iPad is neat, but why give yourself a taste of the i4s features and not have the intelligence to realize it's not worth it to buy an iPad right now.

Btw I've been a blackberry user for the last 3 years, and I can't believe I hadn't switched to an iPhone sooner.

I agree. My iphone is more and more just a phone now that I have an iPad :D

I was quite interested in getting an iPhone 4 but what's the point now? I'll just be happy with my factory unlocked 3GS for now. I am feeling the itch to upgrade my iPad to a 3G model.

I'm feeling the itch, too, but I'm not sure why. I have jailbroken iPhone with MyWi so it doesn't make much sense to get the 3G iPad other than the marginal added convenience of not having to go through my iPhone.

Looks like you had a bad experience with the iPhone 4. I don't think I'd make that trade, but that's just me

If the OP's happy with his new system good for them. You don't really need to seek approval here as long as your happy.

Others may not agree with your choice here, others may dislike the fact that your blackberry doesn't have an Apple sticker on it, but who cares really?

If it works, does the job you want it to do and your comfortable then jut enjoy your devices and stop seeking approval from people who play no significant role in your everyday life.

Just curious why you think a new iPad is coming in a "matter of months.". It was released in the States 5 months ago, the 3G only about 4. Why would you think there would be another coming soon? I know there was the story on the front page of MR but if you've been around apple products long enough, you'd realize that is a pretty unsubstantiated rumor. There's just no way a new version will come out less than a year after the previous model. You made a pretty condescending remark to the OP and I think it is rather baseless. Show me one apple product that has a release cycle of less than one year.

That's seems like a good combo if you don't mind carrying around the iPad. Honestly if it were me, I would get the torch with the new iPod touch coming out in September, it's suppose to have the retina display and camera. And the iPod comes in 64gb model too, the only downside is you would have to rely on wifi for the touch, but with the new browser on the torch it may be good enough.

Not all products work for everyone, and if your happy with that combo then good for you! It's all down to personal preference.

My last two phones were a Nexus One and a G1 so I've changed a lot coming to the iPhone 4 and so far I haven't regretted my decision.

So I was the guy who waited on launch day to get the iPhone 4...

I am posting this thread to see if there are others with such distaste for the product as I??

Dropped calls, wayyyyy to fragile for a mobile phone, no white model blah blah..

I have had the iPhone since the 2g. However I recently switched to a blackberry bold (soon to be torch) and a 64gig iPad...

Do you think that was a good idea??

Nothing to add, but I am interested in you question as I am thinking of a similar situation. I have a wifi ipad and i am up for a new phone with sprint. Not willing to leave Sprint. Please post back in a few weeks. I am curious how things will pan out for you.

When did all these little wise@ss kids start showing up in this forum? I feel like I'm back in jr high when I read some of these threads.

For the little boys in this thread here is some advice that will greatly help you as you go through life if you're able to grasp it. Seeking advice when making decisions helps you to make better decisions with fewer mistakes. Other perspectives help you to see things more clearly and wise men listen to others and treat others with respect especially when they disagree with them. So you've got a choice, grow up or fail.

Surely you've seen that many people love to drop in here to gripe about real and perceived short-comings of the i4. So the answer to this question is pretty obvious. Smells a bit trolly in fact...

I think BB is a fine replacement. It's not my cup of tea, but it's no slouch either. My only warning is that if you think the i4 is too delicate then you really might consider investing in a good case for your BB. Perhaps I've got a bad sample size but I've seen a couple of people I know blow through 1 or 2 8900's in the past year or so. Could be bad luck, but best not to take a chance.

As far as the iPad. I'd wait a bit and see what the holiday season brings. I'm not on board with the current iPad b/c I know it's going to see some revisions and upgrades at some point in the not too distant future.

Personally never liked BB's. I really like my IP4 however I'm one of those people that do suffer signal loss. That said, don't think I could ever trade my IP4 for any other phone, BB, Droid run phones, etc.

Think the iPad was nice though. Not sure if it's the wifi or 3g model. I was looking into getting the 64gb 3G to compliment my IP4 and MBP. If you're happy with the trade then so be it I say. Since you're getting the Torch, eventually, then you have some pretty decent toys to play with. If you JB the iPad then you'll have pretty much all the functionality of an IP4, only larger.

Blackberry What? If you don't want iPhone 4, then why the hell would you want to be with AT&T? With that being said, Blackberry Browser sucks balls. Also, they do have good app selections like Android or iOS.

Umm, sure

I mean you tried the iPhone4 didn't like it and went with something else.

Not sure what you were expecting to hear, but hope this combo works out for you.

Agreed. If the iPhone doesn't meet your expectations or needs, they it is time to move on to something else. I hope you enjoy it.

I'm thinking of doing so,ethnic similar. Now that I have an iPad, I don't use my iPhone all that much. My iPhone 4 is more of a novelty item at this point.

I take my iPad most places I go, especially places I know there is WiFi.

At this point my next phone will either be an Evo 4G or a BlackBerry Bold (again lol).
