So I was the guy who waited on launch day to get the iPhone 4...

I am posting this thread to see if there are others with such distaste for the product as I??

Dropped calls, wayyyyy to fragile for a mobile phone, no white model blah blah..

I have had the iPhone since the 2g. However I recently switched to a blackberry bold (soon to be torch) and a 64gig iPad...

Do you think that was a good idea??

Not looking for validation, just seeing if anyone else has the same issues..

Also if blackberry and iPad seems like a good combo..

If you have nothing constructive to offer me click the back arrow and continue watching your porn..

To those with advice i appreciate it..

You ARE looking for validation actually. It is really your choice what phone and other accessories you end up with. I have an iPhone4, iPad, and Macbook Pro and use all of them regularly. We can't tell you what you would like better than you can. If you really need to ask if you like your Blackberry you may want to consider jumping back to the iPhone or to an Android device.

After having an iPhone 4 for the last month I could never let myself buy an iPad. The iPad has yet to receive ios 4.0! And in a matter of months a new iPad will be released with more ram and most likely a front facing camera for FaceTime. Sure the current iPad is neat, but why give yourself a taste of the i4s features and not have the intelligence to realize it's not worth it to buy an iPad right now.

Btw I've been a blackberry user for the last 3 years, and I can't believe I hadn't switched to an iPhone sooner.

Not have the intelligence? I am a doctor, and I believe that for my daily routine a blackberry services the functions (eg: email, calls) that I need. If I was someone who sat in a cubicle all day maybe an iPhone would have been a better fit.

Again if you do not have something constructive to say, please silence yourself...

I purchased the iPad for some entertainment purposes, and just so I did not go through the full withdrawl, rather a weening process..

As far as all of you talking about this magical future iPad, with facetime blah blah.. The iPad was released a few months ago, what makes you think that A. one is on the way, and B. that it will be anything under $1000 as the current 64gig wifi is already $750..

If the OP's happy with his new system good for them. You don't really need to seek approval here as long as your happy.

Others may not agree with your choice here, others may dislike the fact that your blackberry doesn't have an Apple sticker on it, but who cares really?

If it works, does the job you want it to do and your comfortable then jut enjoy your devices and stop seeking approval from people who play no significant role in your everyday life.

AGAIN: I am not seeking approval...just wondering if anyone had the same bad experience with the iphone 4..

Please do not make me repeat myself again..

When did all these little wise@ss kids start showing up in this forum? I feel like I'm back in jr high when I read some of these threads.

For the little boys in this thread here is some advice that will greatly help you as you go through life if you're able to grasp it. Seeking advice when making decisions helps you to make better decisions with fewer mistakes. Other perspectives help you to see things more clearly and wise men listen to others and treat others with respect especially when they disagree with them. So you've got a choice, grow up or fail.

FINALLY someone with a brain. Thanks!

Awesome, so we can expect you won't be posting in the iPhone forum any more.

Blackberry What? If you don't want iPhone 4, then why the hell would you want to be with AT&T? With that being said, Blackberry Browser sucks balls. Also, they do have good app selections like Android or iOS.

"Sucks Balls"...another intelligent reply..

Why would I want to be with ATT? Well my wife has the iPhone and refuses to switch, ALSO because I am a fan of the handset selection ATT has to offer and now that I have my blackberry I have no issues with reception as I did with the iphone 4..

So your intelligent reply is that unless you have an iphone you should NOT have ATT as your service provider...genius!

While the OP is slowing turning into a douche on this thread I have to say that the BB and iPad combo is a good choice.

I actually think that the best combo is BB with an iPod Touch. Then you can still easily play podcasts and music in your car and on dog walks etc....

Some people have to just understand that the iPhone (while being a great device) isn't what's best for all.

Enjoy the combo and I hope the Torch turns out to be as good as it looks (and not like the Storm which was terrible)

It's too bad the OP didn't bother asking BEFORE he made his choice. Sounds like someone is a little insecure in his decision. iPhone 4 envy maybe?

Seriously, people are going to post what they want when they want and you either like the responses or not, but you were the one that made the choice to post here about a BB and an iPad...

My work makes me use a BlackBerry for work email, calendar, etc. Every time I use it, it makes me appreciate my iPhone 4 more.

However, if you are happier with your BB, then good for you. You must be feeling some apprehension and second-guessing your decision if you have to make a post on macforums.com though! Hehe.

Thanks for the post, minus the douche remark..

I am not a "douche" just do not understand why I just cant grab a few opinions without a bunch of nerds complaining..

Of course second guessing! I have had an iphone since the 2nd gen release! Just a change, and seeing if anyone had any insight thats all..

I am a doctor

I hope you at least took your MCATs.

And compared to the iPhone, the iPad is a very niche product. While I find it a bit excessive to purchase a new iPhone every year, it seems even crazier to consider someone buying a new iPad each year as well. When the latest iPhone is released three months after the iPad, but comes with twice the ram, a front facing camera, a better OS, and a much higher resolution screen, does it not miff you?

I find that the ip4/iPad combo works for me.

I use the ip4 for most things... but... I read books and log into the web at times when I want a bigger screen by using the iPad.

I carry it with me to read books, but unless there's free wifi, I don't use it for web away from home.

The display is less attractive than my ip4, so I'm thinking that after my husband becomes so attached to the iPad (it's happening, I can feel us competing for it) that he'll buy me a new iPad (the smaller one with the better-looking display) and all will be right in the universe. :)

You know the iPhone was invented for a reason, it was a PHONE, IPOD, and MOBILE BROWSER all in one.
And you want to carry a BB and an iPad?
ehem
pathetic

Pathetic? I do not that that is the correct word to be used here, but I am sure you are not too intelligent so I will let that slide..

And to answer your question, yes I would rather carry two excellent products that do what they are designed to do rather than one product that half-asses every task thrown its way...

How so? I haven't read much of what you've said so far, but whatever works best, go for it. If it's a BlackBerry Bold and iPad, then so be it. At least you have one Apple iOS device... :D
