My God, what kind of an Apple freak do you have to be to try something like this? Some people will stop at nothing!

And why didn't I think of this first!

;)

FedEx staffed
FedEx Express Ship Center
129 Pohakulana Place
Honolulu, HI 96819

It says (Hold At Location) on the list of services next to hours on the website.

Thanks.
Thats like a 20 minute drive for me, and it's at the airport, lol.

Says they open at 8am, so I guess it would still be worth it to drive and pick it up (if they stick with their usual delivery time of 4-6pm for my house). I'll give them a call to see what my option are once I have a tracking number.

I would be nice to my UPS, Fedex, USPS, but....

I never see them, they don't even knock when we get a package, they just get within 20 feet of the door and throw the package on the door mat!

Iv'e watched this a few times through my peep hole, they literally toss the package....

You will have to call the 800 as they don't give out station numbers. The call center will then send a print-out to your station with all the pertinent info. This will then be given to the driver the morning of, who would normally be delivering it. Instead of putting it on his/her truck they will let it ride to the end of the belt where an office person scans and collects the HAL packages.

Why are you being an ass? Can't you just enjoy a product for it's life span? It's not even out yet. Chill out.

Honestly i have no idea what you're talking about. All i was saying was that if his idea works for this launch, i may try it for whatever comes out next - and i was quite obviously JOKING around. I said nothing about not enjoying this phone. I'm going to enjoy the **** out of it! You need to chill out...

 put that apple packaging to the test! Seriously though, while my delivery guy doesn't throw things, I have noticed they don't always knock unless they need a signature, I might just put a sticky note on my door just in case...

Sounds like you work for FedEx. Do you and are you at HNL, I have some friends there. BTW, I work at FedEx too.

Well this we be my first iphone and well I had a package delivered by FedEx on the 15th and thought I could see what I could do to be the first delivery. So as he is making me sign for package I told him I have a deal for him. If he would bring me my package on the 24th first I would kick back with 50 bucks and a 12 pack of beer. The guy winked and said, “I’ll see what I can do..” Looking back at it I must be desperate as hell to get my hands on it. We shall see what happens LOL

I manage a FedEx location and have 25+ couriers working for me. I can guarantee that if you have a good relationship with your driver he will go out of his way for you. Although we frown on our couriers excepting tips, most managers look the other way.

I used to work as a courier in Michigan. I've worked at a couple different stations in the metro area and they are all the same management wise. Seems like Memphis only wants "yes" men as managers.

Or you could just have it held at the FedEx station instead of it being delivered. Once you have the tracking number, call the 800 FedEx number and tell them you want it held (Hold At Location). You will be able to pick it up from there as soon as they open which is typically 8-9am. Trust me on this, I used to work for FedEx.

I may try this. My office is 1/2 mile from the distribution center and my house is 20 miles away. Though I would still wait to activate it at home. Better to enjoy the unboxing in the comfort of home.

I'm not paying anybody but I already talked to my UPS guy mon he said no problem since it's nothing but businesses in my area he passes my street about 10 times a day I also talked to the Fedex guy he said he'll be here before 1
