It right now. I want tablets like on Westworld. Super thin like cardboard but folds out. That’d be awesome. But right now I’m not too interested because they make the phone super thick when folded.I want an iPhone with a screen larger than the rumored 6.7" model coming this fall.
The Galaxy Fold 2 is rumored to have a screen between 7.7" and 8" unfolded.
I know the original Fold had many issues, but seeing the progress Samsung made with the Galaxy Z Flip, I think the Fold 2 will be very appealing. For a variety of reasons I'd prefer staying with Apple/iOS versus jumping to Android.
I know Apple is probably working on such a model, but we haven't heard a single reputable rumor that one is coming.
Reliability aside foldable phones seem to combine the worst attributes of a phone and tablet. No thanks.
Folding iPhones seem so gimmicky. Look at that Samsung Flop, or the Moto Flop.
wow sick burn.I am going to say I don't want it, try to minimize it and ridicule anyone else having or trying it - until Apple introduces it and then I am going to change my mind and claim it is the greatest thing since sliced bread and berate anyone who doesn't have one.

Latest leaks are saying the Fold 2 will start at roughly $1,900.
I don't see this as a number that is feasible for 95% of smartphone buyers. Assuming the iPhone 12 Pro Max starts at $1,100 this fall, that means the Fold 2 would cost nearly twice as much.
While I fully believe in the future of folding phones, we just aren't there yet until they come down in price. I think you would have to hit around $1,500 for them to potentially receive widespread adoption.
I don't expect a folding iPhone next year. Most likely it would happen in the two to three year range from now. So 2022 or 2023. By that point, folding Android devices will have matured greatly too. There should be great choices on both platforms by that point. I actually think the Fold 2 will be a massive improvement over version 1.0, but I just have no desire for a smartphone that is close to $2,000 at this juncture. In a few years these devices will be much more appealing for what they offer and how much they retail for.As much as you’re wanting a ‘folding’ phone based off thread(s) that you’ve started, I almost wonder if you’re a better candidate for an android device versus an iPhone. If you’re seriously considering a folding phone produced from Apple, you’re looking at a minimum of probably three years before we would even see something like this, [let alone if they even venture onto that path] given the transition to micro LED/mini LED displays are next in line.
I said it before, Apples R&D department is probably working more in line of AR capabilities/‘Apple glasses’, folding phone poses its attraction, but I’d say you have a higher chance of a meteor hitting your house then a folding phone coming to fruition from Apple at this junction.
