Could you be more specific on what you're trying to accomplish? It seems that you want an iPhone, but without any of of the phone features.

Like I said, use it as a pay as you go. Then just don't buy any prepaid minutes. Why is that not an option?

I don't understand what you are looking for either. Do you want the iPhone without the data plan? Just prepaid minutes? If so, there are ways to do that.

Losing data anywhere you go is a big loss to what the iPhone offers though even if you say you have ubiquitous wifi everywhere.

I think AT&T's rates are very reasonable. $39 for 450 mins is standard and data is only $20 more.

The cheapest at&t plan is $39.99, add the $20 for the iPhone dataplan (usually $50) you are getting a deal. However, you can use the SSN of 999-99-999 and it will fail out and allow you to get a Pay-as-you-Go plan or a Pick-Your-Plan prepaid system, but you won't get unlimited EDGE.

i just want data on my iphone. is that possible? is it cheaper with att or tmobile? i dont have any current plans with either of them bc i'm on sprint.

Like the title says, I want an iPhone, but can't stomach $59.99USD (AT&T) a month for a plan when I only use my phone for 200ish minutes a month. I do however want one for the other features, so please do not try to tell me I do not need one

Has anyone else here had any experience working with AT&T to find another plan? Their websites say the iPhone plans start at $59.99, however on other phones there are plans starting for much less. Thanks!

Its called an iPod Touch. Hellllllllllllloooooooooooooooo????????????????????

Are you really that inept to miss this?

1. Wants iPhone Features
2. Does not want to pay for them

Wrong. Unlimited Edge is an option for every plan including GoPhone. Try not to give advice when you have no clue what you're talking about.

ATT is the only authorized carrier. You can hack an iPhone to use with Tmobile. Each has a web site for you to compare rates.

Wanting is one thing, needing is another. Why do you really want an iphone? So you can pick up girls with the latest tech gadget or what? To look cool? Everyone has given various options and none have been applicable to you. I just chose to take mine to t-mobile instead and pay for better service and a better plan that offers more than at&t. It seems like you are being cheap honestly and you say money is no problem yet you don't really want to pay anything. If that is the point, then just buy the iphone off ebay or from someone on craigslist and use it for wifi only as a show off I guess. Since you don't want to pay for services that you think are not worth it. The principle is if you want something high end and expensive, learn to deal with the costs that come with it. If you want a bmw or mercedes benz, but expect to pay low labor costs and to maintain the car for oil changes and what not then you need a reality check. No offense, just think about it.

I feel the same way in regards to the OP, just didn't say it. The $59.99 plan is perfectly reasonable compared to other plans out there.

There's plenty of options to use Tmobile for a cheaper plan if you want to go there also. But if you want a cheap plan on AT&T, you either go pay-as-you-go or take off the data plan. You're not going to get like 200 mins for $19.99 + $9.99 data plan or anything.

So you want a BMW so you can sit in your driveway and listen to the radio?

From what I've seen posted here, a refurbished phone can be used as a wifi iPod. Might be what you want. Maybe. I don't know, you confuse me.

Thanks for the sermon.

Enough. To be honest, you are receiving a lot of flack, but you're also ignoring the numerous people who have offered you legitimate options in order to focus your efforts on baiting the trolls.
