I went from a 4s to a 5s. It's all good. I sync to iCloud and had videos show up on my photo stream on the 5s and my Mac book pro that were deleted due to 4s space concerns. This 5s is 32 GB so I hope that's enough space for me. I did all the updates with no issues as well.

True, Apple doesn't force u to upgrade, but they may as well do, because your nagged to death by popups if you don't upgrade.. regardless of weather u'r plugging in or not.

I can't say the number of times running iOS 7.1.2 i good cheesed off with constantly dismissing "iOS 8.1.x is available ..." popup on home screen. In the end, I finally said "What the hell ... u win Apple"

There's a check box in iTunes to permanently dismiss the pop-up for each upgrade version. There's also a dismiss option for the iOS device. You get nagged once, yyou don't hear from Apple again until the next revision. If you can't figure out how to avoid the continuing nag, or can't be bothered to check the box, maybe you should own a simpler device?

Perhaps some want the smaller form factor or they can get the 5s for less money.

Agreed. Though the iPhone 6 has only like 3 things that the 5S doesn't have and it is a solid upgrade.

But yes, some people prefer the 4" screen.

To the OP: I had the 5S and loved it, a little bit sad they changed the awesome design that was the 5S's but at least the screen s bigger.

The iPhone 6 is a bigger 5S, nothing else. And it is an awesome phone ;)

I have a 5s and held a 6 a few times and I prefer the 5s size myself. I am in hopes of the sketchy reports of a 4" model returning to the lineup next year, though, I'm not going to hold my breath for it.

When I tried the 6 It was weird at first, I jumped at the chance and bought it.

I love it so far, and since I have large hands the 4.7" is the right size.

And yes, the returning 4" model is a bit weird, and comprehensive at the same time due to the fact most people don't want a bigger phone.

I preferred the 4s size over the 5s. The extra screen res is a joke for a device that size, totally pointless.

If they don't come out with a 4" model again, I'll get the smaller version of what's available and I will adjust to it, just like I did when I went from the 4S to the 5s.

I just got my 5s and it's a great device plus it is on 7.1.2.

Thanks, although I am thinking of installing 8.1.2

Mine ran great on 8.0 and 8.1 (now sold), but you might go slow because you can't go back. If you're not using the Apple ecosystem connectivity features, 8.x might not feel compelling on a 5 or 5S.

I have a 5s on iOS 8 and it runs perfectly smooth.

I have to agree with this. My iphone 5s is smoother on ios 8.1 than my iphone 6+. both jailbroken, exact same apps, tweaks, etc. and the 5 s, for whatever reason is smoother, faster, less glitches. Both are amazing actually. I love 6+ screen size, but I would have to say that the 5S, all things considered is the best phone I've ever owned (and I've owned a lot).

Just upgraded from an iPhone 5 to a 6 but used a 5S for the past week. Both the 5 and 5S had no issues on the latest iOS. The 5S is still a great device and will serve you well.

iOS 8 in general, it jerks and lags on the iPhone 6.

Lol, wut???

I use an iPhone 6 as my daily driver & also work at a cell phone shop... I see and deal with cell phone issues 40 hours per week.
I have NEVER seen the slightest jerk or lag on any iPhone 6, nor have I ever even heard of somebody that's heard of somebody that's heard of that.. lol.
I'm hoping you were being facetious. If not, get that phone replaced pal. You deserve to have the same experience the rest of us are having!!! :)

I've seen it on multiple iPhone 6's both at the Apple store and friends/family. I wouldn't make it up :p Its not the iPhone 6, it is poor iOS 8 coding.

Haha... ok, I guess I've never seen that particular mix of apps. Or perhaps they leave 50 apps multitasking, whereas I never have more than 4-5 open at once.
I do believe you... still seems bizarre to me. I similarly assure you. I am not fanboying. I have literally never experienced that... at all!

I completely see it the other way where the extra screen made it a good amount better without really making the phone larger in a noticeable way.

Yeah, not seeing that with the iPhone 6 either. Perhaps those who see some sort of 5 FPS drops at some places as something they actually notice, let alone find significant in some way, but I can't even say I notice much of that either.
