We all made Apple successful by buying their products. People who decide to camp outside shops for the bizarre fun of it don’t get any extra kudos from me.

I used to pre-order and then a few iPhone generations ago I noticed the carriers start doing nice deals a month or so after release. so now I wait. if apple wants me to buy day 1, they should give me a nice discount

That isn’t even the topic being discussed...

speaking of discussing Apple products...

My friend's parents were visiting from Korea last year. They brought a box of Korean apples, which I later learned cost almost US$140.(which meant that EACH apple was more than $10!!!!!) Oh man, they were the most delicious apple I've ever eaten in my entire life.(I'm very old, so that's a lot of years) Makes American apples taste like tree pulp.

However, I am now very afraid. I have unwittingly become an accessory after the fact because I'm pretty sure that importation of fresh apples into the US is not allowed. They were old, so the customs guys probably didn't randomly select them for inspection.

Oh well... all the apples are gone now, so no chance of doing any damage to domestic US apple industry, I sincerely hop. The cores went down the kitchen disposal...

Try apples grown in Somerset, England. Nice to eat and nice to drink in the worlds best cider
